Situated on the edge of Locarno, Hotel Stella SA provides panoramic views of Lake Maggiore and comes with a restaurant serving Swiss and international cuisine. Hotel has one of the best view in Locarno. Very good idea to use local busses + other transports via Ticino Ticket app.. I really appreciate hotel staff that had pleasant approach, very tasty dinner menu and room cleanliness. Unfortunately was raining and I couldn't use pool, but next time I will not skip it. :)

Set on a hill above Locarno, the La Barca Blu overlooks Lake Maggiore and is a 5-minute walk from the funicular to Locarno. Free WiFi is available. All rooms feature a balcony or a terrace. The staff were very helpful, especially with the bus system. The walk down from the hotel to the lake was entertaining in and of itself. The room was comfortable and breakfast was good.

This place was very comfortable with beautiful views! It was rainy part of the time but we had plenty of room for the four of us, with a comfortable couch in the living room and a table to play cards. The view from the deck, which also had a table, was amazing. Helpful hosts downstairs. We took the bus from the train station and then figured out which steps (not a huge amount) to walk up and our host saw us and gave us the keys and a tour. Cooked a basic dinner one night in the kitchen. It was nice to have the coffee machine and pods there, as it made excellent coffees. Also a nice selection of teas.

Set in 2 traditional Ticino-style buildings, 2 km from Locarno and Lake Maggiore, Case di Sotto House & Breakfast offers free WiFi, a terrace with a panoramic view of the lake and an on-site wine... Sabrina, Dalila and the rest of the staff made us feel so welcome and taken care of. We were there for our honeymoon and they went out of their way to make it extra special for us. We felt relaxed, at ease, and easily could have stayed longer. This place is perfect for a romantic getaway, as was evidenced by the many couples we saw there. Spectacular views, beautiful rooms, excellent breakfast every morning. Can't recommend it enough!
