Everything. Takashi is so nice and the place is so chill and relax, the atmosphere is so lovely and even that my stay was for one night it was so nice to be there.

This accomodation is 11/10. It is spacious, beautiful, clean, inspiring and relaxing. It is one of those place that influence the whole trip to the better. To the best. The terrace, the bath tub, the rooms, I don’t even know where to start. It is so good. The host Takumi (and his family) are the most wonderful people ever. He picked up our luggage and drove us to the airport. That is crazy.

This wonderful house is hidden gem of both Suhara and booking.com. I expected an old house, but this house really takes you 150 years ago in time. There is lot of japanese decorations and artefacts, which I would consider as treasure. I had the whole house just for myself and could explore all the rooms. All paper walls/doors are movable and you always discover something behind them. There is also a wooden (!) bathtub, where you can enjoy hot bath after long day of hiking Nakasendo. Toilet is on the other side modern, typical japanese (western) style. There is also a functional heater. 7/11 nearby. The owner is very kind and eventhough he does not speak english, he is very good with technology and with online translator he can talk to you. Staying in this house was one of the highlights of my stay in Japan, I am still in awe.

The hotel is an authentic Japanese house with two stories, a kitchen, and full amenities. It can comfortably accommodate up to ten people. The property was very homely with lots of lovely attention to detail. The furnishings were high quality. There were also lovely details such as fresh flowers, snacks, mementos and brochures. The location was very peaceful with a beautiful garden - the owner even made us a love heart of autumn flowers on the lawn. We felt very cared for. The children were even given a gift on departure - Thank you!

Despite arriving later than planned, we encountered no issues with check-in. The property boasts a prime location right beside the Nakasendo trail, offering stunning mountain views from the rear. Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable.

The house is very big and comes fully equipped. We spent 4 nights here and our main hoal was to give our daughter a brake from a busy travel schedule. Mister Katsuyuki was super friendly to us and especially to our little daughter. He even gave her a very special gift when we left. I really liked that, despite the language barrier, mr Katsuyuki sang was open to conversation. This made our stay evermore memorable as we learned new things about Japan and Japanese people.
