Sanae was so lovely and we loved the time we spent at this house. It's HUGE compared to any other accommodation we stayed at in Japan and it felt so nice having a place to ourselves to call 'home' for the short time we were here for the Hongu Loop hike. It was a perfect place to start the hike and we easily made the loop within 7-ish hours and a lunch break inbetween. It's not far from two bus stops which take you to and from the main train stations that got us back to Osaka.

I really enjoyed my staying here. Unfortunetly just one night and alone. This is a perfect place to spend at least some days in a group. I hope I have the chance to do this one day. The house is mainly home made but everything you need is there. The host even left me some snacks and small food for the night. I enjoyed the silence of the morning and I have slept like a baby. Even if it's not the clean fancy place some people may search, in my opinion for a Kumano Kodo hiker this is the place to be! Countryside mountain Japan vibes! Thank you a lot for it!

This is a beautiful small cabin, set in rice fields. It was very comfortable and only a short walk from a good sized supermarket. It had everything you need to cook and have a nice meal. We were walking the Kumano Kodo, so this was a good place to stop for the night. We would have liked to stay longer, because it was a very relaxing place.

A whole house to ourselves. Large space, everything you needed is equipped and provided. The location is strategic, just 2 minutes walk from/to bus stop. Room is spacious and clean, warm and cozy. Bed is comfortable as well. Host is nice and responsive. Alot snacks and drinks provided which really warm our hearts. Recommended this, good value for money.
