Charith & Nishadi are the most amazing hosts. I came for three nights and stayed nineteen! A decent little righthand break was in easy walking distance and Hiriketiya just five minutes away on my scooter. The smaller room, which I had, had a view out to the break and received a cool (ish) sea breeze. I'll definitely be returning 😊

Absolutely a 10/10 experience every time! I’ve stayed here three times now, and each visit has been better than the last. The place itself is cozy, impeccably clean, and has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere—it truly feels like a home away from home. But the real highlight is the host! Not only are they incredibly attentive and accommodating, but they also happen to be an amazing chef who genuinely loves cooking. They offer to cook meals for guests, and trust me, you do not want to pass up the chance! This is hands down one of the best stays I’ve ever experienced. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable and unique getaway!

A fairly new homestay that has everything you need and in a great location. It is about 20 min walk away from hirikitiya but 2 mins away from dickwella beach which is even more beautiful. The hosts are also amazing and make a great breakfast every morning. The page says there is no wifi, but this is wrong; there is great wifi!

Highly recommend staying here!!! A couple in our late 20s and early 30s from Australia and Ireland. Honestly this place was amazing, its newly built and you can tell. Everything is in such good condition and is modern and clean. Its made of brick and concrete which keeps it quite cool in this warm humid climate. The bathroom is the first place traveling 3 weeks around Sri Lanka that actually has a seperate shower from the toiler and sink, the floor didn't flood. It is concrete so just be a bit careful of slipping. It had lots of shelving for our bags and clothes. Its location is slightly up a hill 5-10 min walk from Hiriketiya beach which is perfect, makes it nice and quiet. All the staff were super lovely and helpful when needed.

After staying at many small Sri Lankan independent hotel / guest houses, from the very north to the south this is undoubtedly the best. One of 2 reviews from me as most other being average: This place is perfectly run, perfectly maintained, great pool and great breakfasts! The evening restaurant offers a mix of Italian and Sri Lankan dishes and after a few weeks traveling nothing beats a homemade Lasagna with a glass of Red! The Beach at 2 mins away is also nr perfect. Even with the rough seas experienced on this coast there is a northern corner that is calm enough to enjoy a good swim. Well done team and Gaby, you run a great establishment. I hope to return with many friends. T

We’ve loved our stay here. Mani is a wonderful host and we feel very much at home, she’s been so generous with her suggestions and catering to my dietary needs (vegetarian). The food is brilliant and wholesome. We’ve been able to relax and work from the porch and the living room, and take the short walk to Talalla beach for a perfect swim. This is a heritage property and it has been in the family for a long time, you get the feeling of living among local history - which I prefer more than a newly sprung up hotel. And you can spot plenty of colourful birds in the peaceful garden. Easy access to mini marts, fruit vendors, sunset viewpoints, and a short ride to the busier beaches of Dikwella and Hiriketiya.
