The inner garden and courtyard are just beautiful... especially in the golden hours

Woodall Country House & Spa is a 5-star property offering luxury accommodation and gourmet cuisine in a peaceful location. The guesthouse is close to Addo Elephant Park and Shamwari Game Reserve.

Breakfast is served buffet-style each morning. Lunches can be enjoyed poolside or on the sun deck and dinner is available in the thatched dining room that overlooks the water. The entire experience from room comfort and cleanliness to the fabulous restaurant food at breakfast and most specially the dinner...exceptional! On our first night we had one of the best meals of our entire 6 week trip throughout South Africa! The manager, Fred, and his staff were all very welcoming and helpful. We were visiting on the last two days of the season, and we loved the property, very private and safe, and the grounds were charming. We will look forward to a future visit and highly recommend the property when visiting the Addo Elephant park and the region!

Situated within the malaria-free Shamwari Private Game Reserve, 9 km from Paterson, Shamwari Bayethe offers luxury tents with a private plunge pool. Home to the Big 5, the reserve features scenic views of the vast landscapes. The setting and the facilities were excellent. We used the Spa which perfectly complemented the Lodge. The rooms were spotlessly clean as were the rest of the facilities.

Kuzuko Lodge consist of 24 chalet of which 3 are fully wheelchair accessible. All facilities including the pool, spa, gym, conference room, restaurant, family lounge, curio shop and bar are accessible by wheelchair. Everything! Fantastic staff and food, great private reserve with really knowledgable guide, and very good conservation ideals.

Set between 2 streams in a lush bush land, this 5-star lodge is located within the Lalibela Game Reserve. It offers secluded suites with private heated plunge pools and terraces.

Included in the rates are 2 game drives per night stayed, all meals and drinks. Visitors can choose between indoor and outdoor dining areas or just relax by the pool with their favourite drink. Lalibela experience was something real and unique! It doesn’t matter how frequently you are traveling - you will be pleasantly surprised by sincere hospitality of the team (starting from the smooth and prompt booking process till the best service on the spot), deep and outstanding knowledge of the rangers (special thanks to Nikita and Ashley - your love to your work and nature helps me to believe in humanity) and, last but not least, the scale of the territory where you will find trilling encounter with wild, beautiful animals and with strong, breathtaking nature (we were happy to spend the days far away from noise, traffic, density of the city - full recharge). The Lounge itself (we booked “Kichaka”) is impressive, here you will find everything that is needed for comfortable stay (beautiful luxury design, super wide terrace, pool, private pool with water heating system, 2 real fireplaces that you can enjoy after an evening safari or when it rains, bar, beautiful local wine, wide menu for all courses of the meal etc.). All of this was already included in the price of booking. To leave this place was a real hart braking moment. Thank you!

The spacious and elegant rooms and suites at Shamwari Long Lee Manor feature satellite TV, air conditioning, a ceiling fan, and tea-and-coffee making facilities.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included and served in the dining area or outdoors. Simply great. Great location in many senses - the reserve itself (only 1 hour from the airport PLZ), the location of the manor in the reserve and of course the reserve as a biodiverse paradise. Food - great - suprisingly great we have to say. The Manor is spacious, our room was much larger than expected. It had a terrace facing the open reserve where you could see animals from a distance after a shower or having a coffee. The buildings have a modern country style touch, are very welcoming, open and invite to relax. There is "the usual" 5-star stuff to do, if you are not on a game drive (pool, spa, gym, etc). Which is great if you have a partner or you are in a group with people that are not into game drives as much - they will have a proper 5-star hotel experience and be able to relax anyway. - This is a main difference to camps with tents and less luxurious equipment. Staff is very friendly - nice concept of the ranger having breakfast with you afterwards so you can reflect upon what you have seen. Children - there is another camp in the reserve that is especially family friendly - I forgot the name - ask the reserve, they will tell you.

Featuring mountain views, Barefoot Addo Elephant Lodge in Addo features accommodation, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge.

A continental breakfast is available at Barefoot Addo Elephant Lodge. The elephants came to drink during breakfast. The bush walk and game drive was also amazing.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks are served at various indoor and outdoor dining areas. There is a fire pit where guests can enjoy a nightcap after dinner.

Guests may either book a Bed and Breakfast package or our Full Board Package which includes all meals and 1 outdoor activity per day (night stayed) on the reserve in an open game viewing vehicle, accompanied by a qualified game ranger. Outdoor activities include, game drives, giraffe walks, bush walks, bird watching and star gazing experiences. Tea and coffee are available throughout the day and sundowner drinks are offered at sunset. The hole experience was immense! Free private parking is available on site. and free WiFi is available at the main dining area and at the pool. What a beautiful place, the accommodation is gorgeous and the hosts are brilliant Thank you Rian and Alan for our amazing trip to Addo. Rian arranged a day safari with the most wonderful prepared Braai and Alan spent the day with us going out of his way to show us as many animals as possible. We stayed in the two bed Cottage which was so beautiful with views over the plantation from the deck, the cottage was spotless and had everything that you could need and loads more. Rian prepared a beautiful meal for us on our arrival (this has to be prearranged) the food was so beautiful and fresh.

Rooms at the Zuurberg Mountain Village combine safari-style with classic décor, offering natural furnishings. All rooms include a private patio and a panoramic deck and some have a deluxe bathroom. We absolutely loved our stay at Zuurberg, and cannot recommend the place enough for anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing place to stay near Addo Elephant Park. The surroundings of the property are gorgeous, nestled in the mountains, and the property itself is also beautiful. Our bedroom looked just like the photos and was very comfortable, and had everything we needed for our stay. Customer service was impeccable and we felt welcome and well looked after from arrival. Alexandra was superb and helped us not only with information about our stay but also with extra tips for our ongoing journey. All the staff were lovely and always ready to help. We also did a whole day game drive and an elephant encounter, both experiences organized by the property and both excellent. Zuurberg was fantastic and we look forward to coming back!
