In front of the covered terrace are round tables; inside, there’s a stylish lounge, perfect for reading or playing games in the evening, and for enjoying a shared breakfast in the morning, which can be ordered the night before. This hotel naturally encourages you to slow down: the Main Street is out of earshot, and after a day in Zion National Park or Canyonlands, this place offers everything you could wish for. The owner has created a little paradise here with great attention to detail.

An American breakfast is available at the lodge. Maybe the best place I’ve ever stayed. I felt like I was in a palace. I took a group hiking, and my car broke down. Scott, the owner went out into the desert, picked us up and drove us all the way to Kanab. He spent half a day trying to help us and he did not charge a penny. Good Samaritan on steroids. You must stay here.

I was considering staying at another hotel inside the park, but I wouldn’t trade it. Cable Mountain’s location is perfect for anyone wanting to explore Zion Park. It’s right at the park entrance, with a supermarket across the street, bike rentals, and close to several restaurants. Highly recommend it.
