Shops, little arcades and restaurants right outside the door of the hotel, as well as 7eleven, so close, and Lawsons, too, so no need to have to use the metro with tired children, at night! Spacious room ( one bed family loft with bunk beds) with excellent sound proofing. Amazing board game area and general hotel games -cute idea. Laundry facilities were so handy. Staff were so welcoming and helpful. Would 100% stay again if we’re lucky enough to return to Osaka.

All staff, owners, were warm, friendly, and took the initiative to offer help and suggestions. They really made both our stay and onward journey a lot smoother and more pleasant. The washer and bathroom dryer provided were amazing - it really helped us to stretch our clothes (and being able to wear clean clothes everyday was an amazing feeling haha).

The staff went above and beyond to assist us and were outstanding! Thank you! The neighbourhood is quieter than the main tourist area and not very difficult to get around. We took buses, the metro, and walked. But the best transport were the bicycles we hired from a bike store across the street. It was fast, fun and safe to ride around Kyoto on bicycles like a local! The hotel has a few bike parking spaces which was very convenient. The laundry room in the hotel was great and had enough machines and a money machine to exchange bills for 100yen coins. The hotel has a small exercise room which is useful. The room was more spacious than expected, very clean with everything that we needed. The windows could be opened for fresh air when needed. There is a good sized grocery store almost opposite the hotel with fresh food and most products you’d require. We would definitely return to this Mimaru!
