Very nice place to stay. Very spacious remodeld japanese house that kept the uniqueness off the house. Loves the helmet as decoration in the main bedrooms. Very responsive and helpfull host.

The guesthouse is conveniently located near Kumano Hayatama Taisha and the bus stop, making it an excellent base for exploring the area. The house is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything you might need during your stay. The owner is exceptionally kind and went above and beyond to assist me when I had an accident, which I truly appreciated. I would definitely recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting the area.

Staying in an old-school Japanese house was a great experience for a foreigner like myself. The house is equipped with everything you need, including a stove, pan, utensils, microwave, fridge, and a small oven. The location is also very convenient—there’s a supermarket just a five-minute walk away, and a bus stop only two minutes away. The bus takes you directly to many famous attractions, including the three well-known shrines, which is especially helpful on rainy days when you don’t want to walk far after getting off the bus. While the cleanliness isn’t at a “hotel” level (as it’s not a hotel), the owner was very responsive to any issues I had. On the first night, I realized that the air conditioner wasn’t working, which was frustrating given that it was 30 degrees inside. However, after I contacted the owner, they came the next day to check the AC. I didn’t expect it to be fixed immediately, but to my surprise, the owner brought and installed a portable air conditioner while I was out sightseeing. I came back to a “new” AC! Overall, I had a pleasant three-day stay.

The host was super friendly and hospitable. Amazing homemade ramen and sushi were served with heart. Very organized and spotless in the house we live in, which looks like a restaurant turned accommodation - but comfy enough! With such good price, this went well above exceptional! The host was really warm and friendly. He offered us his homemade blueberry jam, homegrown blueberries and persimmons. He even went out of the way to fetch us to and fro Kii-Katsuura station. The facilities in the cottage are modern and clean. Not to forget, the breahtaking view of the mountains from the balcony. 10/10 would recommend this.
