Very cosy boutique hotel, designed in authentic nepali style with carved dark wooden windows, furniture and even lamps in shape of stupas. Rooms are comfortable, decent size, and very clean. AC in the rooms. Elevator is available. Nice breakfast with selections of bread, coffee, eggs, fruits and pastry. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Manager Prabin have arranged my itinerary for the full stay - including city tour in Kathmandu, a trip to Pokhara with flights, stay and city sightseeing, and trekking tour. Everything was done with exceptional attention to details and care.

For your comfort, you will find bath robes, slippers and free toiletries. clean and nice room, nice hotel...we tried food at restaurant and it was amazing.

Nestled within beautifully landscaped grounds, Shambaling Hotel is a charming refurbished house from the 70s. The Tibetan-style house has 64 cosy bedrooms, an in house restaurant and a 24-hour front desk. Wi-Fi is free in its public areas. Our stay at Shambling Boutique Hotel was both an amazing start for our visit to Nepal as well as a beautiful gift for Christmas. Every little detail was so charming and full of heartwarming hospitality. It started with the smooth and welcoming pick-up from the airport, the warm reception, and continued with the tastefully decorated room, the perfect cleanliness, hot water (in Nepali winter) and the incredibly cosy bed. he food was just another highlight: breakfast set in the serene garden and dinner in the restaurant under the Christmas tree, we enjoyed every delicious bite and sip. But what stood out the most was the skilful and truly caring staff. Whenever even a hint of a wish arose, someone was already there to make it come true. Always gentle, always with a solution right on the spot and always with a bright smile. This is hospitality at it's best.
