It was fantastic... Highly recomended It!

They even made us a takeaway breakfast pack for the 5:30am morning safari. Highly recommended.

The owners were kind and welcoming, and they prepared good food for us. The house was clean, comfortable, and gave us a real chance to experience nature—we enjoyed watching animals from the balcony. They also organized a well-arranged safari with Janith, which was a great experience. We saw a lot of wildlife. Janith was an excellent driver and guide—he was very skilled at spotting animals and made sure we had the best possible sightings.

Just a few minutes from the gates of Udawalawe National Park, the property offers a quiet, comfortable space where both kids and grown-ups can unwind and enjoy nature. We had a wonderful stay at Kalus Hideaway Udawalawe. The food was delicious, and the staff were exceptionally well-trained, attentive, and friendly. The rooms, while slightly dated, were spacious, functional, and well-equipped. We enjoyed the beautiful gardens, especially the butterfly garden, which was a delight to explore. The on-site restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, and our excursion to Udawalawe National Park was a highlight of the trip. Overall, a relaxing and memorable experience — highly recommended.
