Located 1.8 km from Nara Station, 18 km from Iwafune Shrine and 22 km from Higashiosaka Hanazono Rugby Stadium, Guest House Oku provides accommodation situated in Nara. This 2-star guest house offers luggage storage space and bicycle parking. The guest house features family rooms. Please stay here! This stay is one of my favourite from my trip around Japan. Yoko, the guest house owner is so so friendly, she has a lovely, kind energy and she makes you feel at home. I went in January 2025 (winter) and stayed with two other friends in the Economy Triple Room with Shared Bathroom. I was amazed by how lovely the room was, the tatami floors and sliding doors had a wonderful traditional feel, and there was even a seperate connecting room with a kotatsu table! This is such a cosy authentic Japanese experience, I felt very lucky to stay here. After traveling around a lot, hotel after hotel, having the feeling of being at home is so important. The room was spacious enough for all of us and the futons were so comfy, I slept like a log. The guesthouse was very clean, both our rooms, the toilet and bathroom area was kept so neat and clean. There's even a communal area with a guitar and place to sit and drink tea. When we first arrived, we chatted with Yoko and she mades us tea and gave us snacks in this area, it was lovely. I definitely recommend this stay, the location was super convenient for walking to local tourist attractions. If I return to Nara, I would love to stay at this guesthouse again.

Free WiFi is provided throughout the property and free private parking is available on site. This felt like less of a hotel stay and more of an experience as a whole. If you are exploring Nara I would recommend taking at least a day to just enjoy this hotel stay. We were greeted by extremely friendly staff who helped us with every little thing, from taking our luggage to ordering a taxi for our departure. We were served luxurious meals for dinner and breakfast in our room, by staff who set our table and made our bed. The location was magical with beautiful nature and deers roaming around outside. They had an amazing natural hot spring bath as well. Would warmly recommend this place.

Everything. We were welcomed by the amazing staff - nothing was any trouble. We were given a welcome gift and the room was just amazing. The shop at the hotel is a lovely touch and the building itself is just breathtaking. We added on breakfast too and it was lovely. The loveliest honeymoon stay for us 🤍
Great location; even had electric bike hire opposite which is recommended for park experience. Close to deer park and a lovely highlight. Would definitely stay again.
The location of the property is really good. Not far from the station and not far from Nara Park. Also the common area is really nice to relax, eat and socialise.
Wisteria is a lovely hotel with really nice, lovely and respectful staff. Rooms are very comfy, so are the beds and everything inside. I love their Onsen bath, so relaxing. They have a vending machine if you feel thirsty at any time and there is a laundry and dryers machines that was very handy. I love it. It was close to all the main venues in Nara.
Such a gorgeous hotel! Our room was lovely, we had our own private hot onsen on the balcony and it was nice to sleep in traditional Japanese beds. The hotel’s onsen is perfect for relaxing after a long day of sight seeing, and the staff are very sweet and helpful. It’s in a great location, within walking distance from of landmarks in Nara.
Fantastic place to have rest and relax. The room was huge and so was the bathroom with jacuzzi tub! There were compliments like free water, coffee and tea from the hotel. Moreover you can get some free alcoholic drinks downstairs. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Thank you for everything!!!
We had a lovely stay at this place. It was warm, quiet and relaxed. Perfect to recover from long days of sight seeing. We got a lot of help when we needed it :) thank you!
The location is very good, walking distance to all the hot spots. The Onsen was lovely .. great way to relax after a long day. They provide free icecream and drinks! The room was ok... ours smelt a little bit, and its very small. It's a shame that they make the rooms so small to try and fit as many as possible into a hotel. We enjoyed the onsen the most, and the free ramen in the evening.
My wife and I stayed here during our honeymoon and it was lovely. Great location, very easy walk to the shops and sights, good value for money, spacious room; exactly what we were looking for = )
