An excellent place to stay near the Udawalawe National Park. Clean room, relaxing pool and delicious food for dinner and breakfast. The terrace area outside the room was great to chill out and admire the jungle view.

We recently stayed at The Countryside Udawalawe and had a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm and welcoming, providing top-notch service throughout our stay. The rooms were nice and very clean, the premises beautiful with a pool. Local breakfast was the best we had on our trip in Sri Lanka. Definitely recommend this hotel to everyone travelling in Udawalawa area.

I was welcomed warmly by Ms. Mudi, she gave me some suggestions about what I could do close by, and later cooked the best Sri Lankan dinner I've had here. The breakfast was also good. The owner also took me on a safari, and gave a fair price. The room was spacious and clean, and plus points there was hot water and AC. I came because of a recommendation from a friend, and would definitely recommend the place to others in the future.

The place was better than expected , real value for money. The host Upul took very nice care from booking a cab to reach till booking the can to next destination 😃 😄...between that he arranged for safari n guided us about our travel to next destination.. also great info during the safari which made it more enjoyable.

Every single thing. The room was really nice and the bed was very confortable. The owner really is a sweet and friendly person, he offered us some drinks when we arrived at the guesthouse and after our Safari too. We had dinner and breakfast there, both of them delicious and really satisfiyng with a lot of great home made food. Our private Safari, organized by the owner was amazing even thanks to our driver. Thank you for letting us living this beautiful dream. Highly raccomended!!!

We stayed for only one night for a safari, but would have stayed longer if we had more time. The rooms were just so comfortable, we enjoyed that Lodge feeling! The staff was just the nicest people. The waiters at dinner were so thoughful, friendly and gave us ideas of what to see in Sri Lanka. We would definitely come again!

The great design of the hotel is very matching to the surrounding. Very quiet place, nice pool, friendly stuff. We stayed for 2 nights- and would highly recommend it if you want to visit the Uda Walawe National Park.
