The location was perfect. Right on the beach in front of the surf breaks. Staff were absolutely amazing, so genuine and helpful. The room was so clean big and comfortable. Great air conditioning. Surf board hire as well so easy to get out into the surf. Our favorite accomdation in Sri Lanka. We ended up extending our stay here and coming back again.

Camellia Dwelling was a dream to stay at! Very central to restaurants, ATMs, beach and mart. The spacious room had everything we needed- fresh water from the properties well, comfortable bed, hot shower, a fridge, aircon and fan. Paddy, the owner, was incredibly helpful and kind. We had a delicious breakfast every day looking out onto the pristine garden. His staff were always helpful and friendly. We will definitely return to this clean and wonderful property. Thank you for everything.

We really enjoyed staying at Villa Shanaya. The place is green, quiet and relaxing. It has been lovely to wake up to birdsong. Also we saw chipmunks and monkeys in the morning. The location is also great as it is far from the railway, so it is quiet and not far from beaches - turtle beach and Hikkaduwa beach (the one without waves) - 10 min max. The room is large, with a balcony. There is a common balcony and kitchen where you can cook if you want. They provide one big towel and soupe. If you need something else, you need to take it with you. During our staying we have not noticed any insects, the room was clean.

Loved everything! The hotel is clean and the pool was so nice. The bed was comfy and the AC really good. The location is good, just a small walk from the beach and shops and restaurants. The owner and the staff were all so friendly and helpful, such lovely people! We booked the room for one night but ended up extending for three and felt sad to leave. So if you are thinking about booking the place, do it! You won’t regret it :)

They have a sign saying this is your second home and nothing could be more true! Such an incredibly wonderful family running this guesthouse - kind, smiling and happy. It is right on the beach and the best part of the beach for swimming and surfing. The food in their restaurant is delicious and we had most of our meals there. My 2 night stay extended to 7 nights and we have already booked to go back! Rooms are big and spacious. Everything here is perfect!

I recently stayed at the Red Villa Lobster Hotel for four nights and I must say, it was a wonderful experience. The hosts were extremely friendly and took great care of us during our stay. We opted for a 2-bed apartment, which was spacious and clean. The view from the balcony was simply amazing, overlooking the pool area. The separate kitchenette provided just outside our door was well-stocked with basic cooking items. The breakfast at the hotel was really nice, and one day the host's wife even prepared breakfast for us to taste, which was an added touch of hospitality. The hotel is within walking distance to Hikkaduwa beach and all the staff working there were friendly and helpful, always with a smile on their faces. The pool was perfect in size and cleanliness, and we enjoyed lounging by it during our stay. The host also arranged a bike for us to use for a couple of days, which allowed us to explore the area with ease. On the day of check-out, they also arranged a Tuk Tuk to take us to the railway station. Overall, if you're looking for a comfortable and peaceful stay near the beach, with a touch of nature and tranquillity, the Red Villa Lobster Hotel is the perfect place to stay. I would rate my experience here a 10/10 and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Hikkaduwa.
