From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we knew our stay at El Faro would be great! The staff greeted us warmly and efficiently checked us in, giving us all details we needed to know. Our room was clean, well furnished, and offered a beautiful view of the ocean. One of the highlights of our stay was the impeccable service! Especially Juan Carlos but also every other staff member we encountered was friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to assist with any request. Whether it was providing recommendations or arranging transportation, the team went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Juan Carlos even went so far as to take a minute for our one year old son so we could finish our hot coffee or desert in peace. The dining experience at El Faro was also great! We enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the hotel's restaurant, where the quality of food and especially the service was outstanding. The hotel's location was another plus. Situated close to the entrance of Parque Manuel Antonio, it was convenient to major attractions, souvenir shopping, and dining spots. Yet, it still managed to offer a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of the environment. Overall, we can highly recommend staying at El Faro. The combination of good accommodations, impeccable service, and prime location made it a standout experience.

The location is outstanding for visiting Manuel Antonio NP as it is truly 100 meters to the entrance. The owner allowed us to park our car until 1 pm following our night stay, so we visited the park early and did not have to find parking that is difficult in the area he also allowed us to shower in the outside pool shower and change out of swim clothes that we used on the park beaches. Breakfast was adequate, but could start a bit earlier to facilitate 7 am entry to the park. Also, there were no hooks or towel racks in the bathroom, which is annoying. The manager was very friendly and helpful. The local restaurant, next door, is excellent and economical.

Property was amazing set in the side of a hill with lots of vegetation that provided shade and beauty. Lots of monkeys right on site and even some sloths! Quick jaunt downhill to the beach. Lots of restaurants on site that they will shuttle you to, or many others to choose from a short walk away. Rooms are eclectic and fun. Our efficiency unit was small for 4 people for a week, but we made it work. Kitchenette is handy and well stocked with dishes and utensils for its size. Loved our outdoor entry - complete with table and 4 wooden rocking chairs.

The hotel was full upon our arrival, but they did locate us in the area of the hotel that we wanted to be, and as always, gave us the best service we could ask for. The rooms are beautiful, clean, comfortable and kept cool, which provides a wonderful respite from a day in the sun. The clean pools are enjoyable for an evening swim. The free breakfasts offered are delicious, and the restaurant serves great food for lunch/dinner. The bar offers a good 2-for-1 "happy hour" drink menu and one of the best places to see the sunset. I have been here many times travelling with both family and friends, and will continue to come, as I have never been disappointed with a stay here.
