Such a nice little place. Really good Aircon, pool, and value for money. The staff were so friendly and down to earth and you could tell they really enjoyed having a good chat rather than the regular reception or hotel talk. Really would recommend to any backpacker, couple, solo traveller, or family for staying in or passing through Mackay.

The Marco Polo Mackay is 5 minutes’ drive from the Ooralea Racecourse. Mackay Airport, Melaleuca Forest and Central Queensland University Mackay are each a 10-minute drive away.

Fab hotel. Booked this last minute and was not disappointed. All staff were fantastic & couldn't of done any more for me. Meal was lovely and was handy having the laundry facility there. Mackay wasn't on my intinary to stop but the staff made this an enjoyable stay, and took away from the stress of not being able to reach my original destination of Airlie Beach due to road closures and weather conditions.

Facilities were on point, very clean & tidy from the reception all the way to our room. Staff greeted you with a smile & kept interactions very friendly & professional.
