What can we say about Mahi Mahi? We will never forget the four beautiful days and nights we spent there. Perfect, peaceful location, away from the crowds. Near the village, where you can go around exploring on foot (do it & support the local community!!) Stunning view of the ocean, delicious food, abundant breakfast and very good choices for lunch or dinner - prices of the restaurant more expensive than what you find in local restaurants nearby but still quite affordable. All of the dishes delicious - congratulations to the chef, who btw took the time to come and meet us :) I tried the "chef's special" everyday during breakfast :). Clean, spacious rooms, you wake up and sleep hearing the sound of the sea. Now THAT is a memory to hold on to during winter. Amazing service - thank you Sifa, Skola (special thanks for the on-the-go Swahili lessons to my wife) Justin, Ilias, and I'm SO sorry I forget the names of all the other nice people that made our stay so wonderful, we thank you all! Special request was to do something special for the honeymoon couple. Room was upgraded on arrival, they were also given a complementary couples neck and shoulder massage and later in the week also a complimentary snack trya at the pool. 5 Stars does not even being to rate the staff and establishment. We really liked the hotel itself – beautiful surroundings, a nice pool, excellent cuisine, lovely authentic bungalows, and wonderful staff, especially Esther, who was always cheerful with a big smile, the delicate Melania, and, complementing these lovely ladies, the wonderful Julius. The hotel also arranges excursions, and we went on the Blue Safari. We were lucky to get private tour just for my husband and me, and it was cheaper than group tours offered elsewhere. We highly recommend it. We wish the owner Anick (conductor of a magnificent orchestra) continued prosperity for this wonderful place. Thank you for everything. Karina and Simba

Beside the seaside view of the hotel , friendly staffs always ready to provide help , and beautiful decoration all around , lots of places to chill, like bar at the seaside, hammock , swimming pool, very tropical and African and Jamaica style also delicious food and drinks at reasonable price , in addition, good music taste ! if you also a fan of Reggae, then you will find yourself back at home:), also have cute big dogs hung around waiting for your petting without disrupting you, as they good at ease by themselves. You call also join the dolphin tour or other tours by the bar.

It's a wonderful place. The bungalows are awesome. A bit dark inside, but the atmosphere is great... white sand everywhere, thus you need flip-flops or similar only if you go outside the area for some trip. People are very friendly and helpful; you can completely switch off and enjoy your vacation in a wonderful place. This time did a lot of trips to enjoy the island, but next time, we will just come directly to this resort and don't move; just enjoying relaxing and refreshing mind and body.

Paje, beautiful place and beach, plenty of restaurants both on the beach and on the road. The only downside is that the beach is in the shade by 16:30 and very high and low tides makes taking a dip complicated !

We stayed in a peaceful part of town, where there were noticeably fewer street vendors selling beads and souvenirs compared to other areas. This made the atmosphere even more calm and relaxing, allowing us to fully enjoy the local charm without feeling overwhelmed.

This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten track... a village, by the sea, with an increasing number of resorts being added. I hope it does not lose its charm to the crowds. This is a quiet, special place.

It was a great stay for me and my family.

It was a great stay for me and my family. The best part of this hotel is the entire staff. Extremely friendly and courteous.Always smiling and greeting at every opportunity.A special thanks goes to Fadhila who made us and especially my daughter feel very special and welcome.The Manager was also very friendly and polite.Overall I would rate my stay as exceptional.

If you have only stayed at Sheraton, Marriott, Ritz, King...

If you have only stayed at Sheraton, Marriott, Ritz, King George or similar hotels - this is not your place. But if you are looking for clean beaches, clear sea, delicious food, peace, close contact with nature, friendly and courteous staff - this is it. There are many bars and small restaurants along the coast that offer a variety of food. In addition, in the town (of course African) you can buy products that are very fresh, and the people are friendly. Here you can buy handmade jewelry and souvenirs from the local population and the Masai.

Just up the beach from Paje town, a little quieter but thats what was nice. Wandered to different restaurants along the beach for lunch and dinner. Limited during off season but enough open. We came via Dar Es Salaam airport and ferry. If you can't get an e-visa before arrival, plan 2hrs to exit the airport. We missed our booked ferry and had to pay again for the last ferry on a different company. Used Zanzibar Quest to book the ferry and transport with exemplary service and support via whatsapp and email. The new travel insurance requirement $50p/p on top of the $50p/p visa fee is a scam that mars the experience. The amount of times we had to show our passport and visa / travel insurance was reminiscent of the cold war. Inefficient and overboard. So if you can fly direct to Zanzibar and use e-visa or have patience and a loose schedule. The drive to the Page beach area took about 1 ½ hrs with the first ⅓ taking ¾ of the time with a typical african road experience. Get a good driver. Driving licenses are issued by testing payment of fee. The driver booked by Zanzibar Quest was excellent. Great beach, wind was consistent during the afternoon to either kite or cool down. Bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent. Not a fan of the immigration process or the fees.

Paradise …Jim’s, Salim, Irene and Juliane were exceptional...

Paradise …Jim’s, Salim, Irene and Juliane were exceptional always ready to help. They just couldn’t do enough for you. The reception staff especially Yusef were very accommodating especially as we arrived very early from Dar-es-Salam! They let us drop our bags and enjoy all the facilities until our room was ready! We had a wonderful stay in Paradise.
