- From $163.02 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 2,456 reviewsI recently celebrated my birthday weekend at H2O Hotel in Kaohsiung, and it was an experience I will cherish forever. From the moment we arrived, the hotel surpassed all expectations with its exceptional service and luxurious ambiance. The staff at H2O Hotel were nothing short of amazing. Despite only mentioning my birthday during the booking process, every staff member seemed to know and went out of their way to make the day special. Their warmth and attentiveness created a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel truly valued. The highlight was a surprise birthday celebration, complete with a delicious cake and a heartfelt rendition of “Happy Birthday,” making me feel like a VIP. The ambiance of H2O Hotel is both sophisticated and inviting. Every detail, from the elegant décor to the relaxing atmosphere, contributed to a sense of tranquility and luxury. The rooms were immaculate and thoughtfully designed, offering a perfect blend of comfort and style. The attention to detail in the room’s amenities was evident and added to the overall experience. The food at H2O Hotel was absolutely mouth-watering. Each meal was a delightful journey for our taste buds, showcasing a variety of exquisite dishes. The dining experience was elevated by the courteous staff and the beautiful dining spaces, making each meal a memorable event. The pool bar at H2O is an exceptional spot, embodying a sense of elegance and class. Although we received coupons for the pool bar, we found ourselves enjoying the ambiance so much that we didn’t even use them. The setting was perfect for a relaxing evening, with stunning views and a chic atmosphere. A testament to their outstanding service was when I realized, after arriving in Taipei, that I had accidentally left a favorite T-shirt in my room’s wardrobe. The hotel staff promptly called me and graciously offered to send it to Taipei. This gesture truly exemplified their commitment to guest satisfaction and their attention to detail.Guest review bySenaneloTaiwan
- From $94.52 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 4,786 reviewsGreat value for money hotel! The breakfast is included, and you have the option of packing your breakfast to-go. If taking breakfast to-go, the staff hand you 2 boxes and a cup for a drink, and very helpfully pack everything up with cutlery for you. The beds in the rooms are comfortable and spacious enough. There is also a rest area / cafe on the first floor that has free-flow hot drinks, biscuits and ice-cream 24/7, and you are able to claim one beer/juice per day per room. The washing machines and dryers are also free to use.Guest review byCharmaineSingapore

Pier 2 Art district, highly recommended, great vibe, nice places to eat and still felt pretty local (it's touristy for sure, but more Taiwanese tourists it feels). Fo Guang Shan, also highly recommended. When I left Tainan, I traveled first to Fo Guang Shan, before returning to Kaohsiung. Easy to spend there several hours since the complex is so immense.Guest review byAnonymous - 10
A wonderful and beautiful village.
A wonderful and beautiful village. Public transport almost non existence. Better to drive or by bicycle. Taxi must be pre-book, check with owner, travel around in taxi by Ms. Wong and she is knowledgeable and accommodating. Visited in Feb for flowers fields and great weather. Wonderful housekeeper Ms. Wu is always around and helpful. Our balcony room was very comfortable and spacious. Main road traffic do not affect sleep once balcony glass doors are shut. Walkable bakery, local produce supermarket and a hidden delicious local food stall around. Short walk to center of village with local restaurants, bus stations and local open air market. 4 story building with limited rooms, book early. Lift available for higher floors. Good with luggage.Guest review byKok Hong MichaelSingapore - 10
Kaohsiung has been , like Bilbao in Spain, considered for...
Kaohsiung has been , like Bilbao in Spain, considered for long time as an unattractive city, industrial and polluted, boring with no cultural life. These past decades the city has improved considerably, reconnected with the sea, remodeling ancients docks, building concert halls , museums, etc.. It is now a very pleasant city that attracts more and more people from Taipei who are looking for a less stressful life and a better climate. The public transportation is very good and you are close to beaches and hills with a lot of trails if your like outdoor sports. I will recommend a visit to this city for sure.Guest review byJesusSpain - 8.0
We spent three days in the Meinong District.
We spent three days in the Meinong District. A car is really necessary to explore the sights, but buses will get you between city centers. The Chison Night Market and Old Street are fun for an evening visit and a look at the architectural stone building facades from the turn of the 20th century. Hakka noodles and other specialties deserve a wider culinary audience! The Hakka Cultural Center is a small mall of vendors, with few attractions that merit the 15 minutes it takes to walk the site. Surrounding mountains are heavily forested with many hiking options for the fit and adventurous.Guest review byTherryUnited States - 8.0
With the MRT, easy to move around.
With the MRT, easy to move around. There are wide footpaths for people to walk safely. Some of the smaller local restaurants do not have menus in english which makes it hard to order. Overall, a very organised city.Guest review byCHEOW SOOAustralia
