Large room with a very comfy bed, great balcony with a view of the pool. Large modern bathroom.
One large lagoon style pool and another smaller pool by the beach. Great sun loungers. Beach towels provided. Water provided daily.
A great breakfast with so much to choose from and all very fresh and hot.
We were met off the boat and had our bags carried to the hotel and the same when we left. The staff can not do enough for you.
A good happy hour 4-8pm at the beach bar daily.

We had some issues with the transport, which was fixed with the help of the personel. Upon arrival even got an upgrade to the poolroom, which was nice and clean. We were group of friends and couples and we all stay at this amazing small resort. It felt like private resort just for us.
The rooms were super clean, bedding and towels soft and smelling amazingly. The interior is very tasteful designed with a great sense for decoration and some practical solutions for storage.
They welcomed me warmly with a hand-written message and some traditional Thai sweets. It was a nice gesture.
We enjoyed in our rooms and also in the pool area, which was also very clean and well maintained. Beverages and snacks on the pool terrace were tasty and always provided.
Stuff was very professional and friendly, helping me with my luggage and taking care that we feel really welcomed in every moment.
Thank you very much for a great time, hopefully we will be back!

Good vibes and barefoot luxury at beautiful Castaway. We felt so blessed during our stay in our two-story wooden, nicely decorated beach hut. The sweet and attentive staff, the superb food, the great layout of the indoor/outdoor restaurant/library/bar/livingroom with both seat cushions, chairs and benches and a nice and diverse group of fellow travellers made it hard to leave the premises for other adventures.
Radiant yogateacher Kimju offers both meditation and yoga several times a day and is so great with the kids that they refuse to leave her after class. Two lovely ladies in the open massage pavillion will brutally work your muscles in all the right spots, sensitive persons beware. The beach is great and there are ample space to swim, beachmats and towels provided. We didn’t really mind a little entertaining longtail to- and fro- ing, as we get really depressed in stale high end resorts. So, if you don’t require roomservice or hot showers this place is your home away from home in Koh Lipe. Also, don’t miss On the rocks restaurant at the one end of the beach and Zodiac beach bar at the other. We’ll definitely be back!

Travel
We were a group of 9 people and traveled by ferry from Langkawi. The staff at Salisa already messaged me even before we left Langkawi and told us that they would be waiting for us at the jetty. They were prompt at receiving us and our bags were efficiently transported back to the resort and the rooms were ready even though we arrived before check-in time.
Chalets
We took 3 different chalets, the Bungalow with Sea View, the Bungalow-Sea Breeze, and the Deluxe Double Room. The Deluxe Double room and Bungalow with Sea View were facing the beach while the Sea Breeze was slightly smaller and just behind the sea view. All rooms were clean and well-maintained.
Food
There is a restaurant right at the resort that serves excellent Thai seafood and there was a BBQ every night for three hours with the freshest seafood. You can also walk to the walking street which is only about 10 minutes and there are plenty of eateries and bars there as well.
View
The view from this resort is excellent and the beach is very clean as well. We also managed to watch the moonrise on the first day we were there.

Our family absolutely loved this resort on our favourite island Lipe. This resort is terrific for families. Super clean abd large rooms. Our kids loved the enormous pool, which was nice and warm. The resort is beach front and we enjoyed many sunsets, whilst the kids played in the sand and swam. The 'Walking Street' is just a few minutes away, so the location is perfect. The staff were lovely and helpful and our children loved seeing the towel art that housekeeping left them each day. House keeping were great and very generous with towels. This side of the island has a lovely ambience and is protected from stingers. We suggest walking along to the other side of the beach to Sanom Beach. It's stunning, quiet and has no stingers there. It also a great spot for snorkelling. The hotel staff meet you at then port, take your luggage and walk you to the hotel lobby. We recommend for families.

Breakfast was excellent. Lot of choices. Greatly appreciated the cook (young lady) who was doing fresh cooked omelet of our choices every day.
We also encountered a technical problem with the air conditioner (no cool air was coming out) on our second night. We woke up sweating. When talking about the problem with the front desk, they sent a technician on the spot. He couldn’t fix it. They gladly change us into a new room for a last night. The gesture was really appreciated. We again thank them for their efficiency. We had a bad 2nd night and we were able to rest and had a good night of sleep before our departure. Thanks to all the staff at Chareena.

Loved everything about this hotel it exceeded our expectations! Our room was gorgeous and big with a nice balcony, the staff were so friendly and helpful! It was our honeymoon and they decorated the bed lovely ! Breakfast was good pancakes were lovely! Coffee wasn’t great but not the worst either ! A shuttle motorbike is available from hotel when it is needed ! Only negative thing I can think of is that the drinks in the bar were over priced compared to other parts of the island but I suppose it is understandable giving the location ! Thank you for a nice stay

In my opinion, the best resort in the whole island. The location is just perfect. In the corner of Pattaya Beach, the place is quiet at night and beautiful and active in the morning. The swimming pool and the swimming pool bar are just perfect. Good food, and nice happy hour promotion on drinks from 1pm until 8pm.
Our villa was at the front line beach, so we could watch the sunset from our private sunbeds.

Rooms are big and clean with great AC.
Staff super helpful.
Breakfast is lovely with a large variety of different foods to choose from.

Great location on a quieter part of the beach. Access to the beach is excellent. Breakfast is sufficient. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel has a restaurant with an affordable and diverse menu. There is also a small kiosk where you can buy snacks and drinks. The hotel is close to other bars and restaurants.

Be careful if you book this hotel. You will pretend is your home for some days and it will be a wonderful experience, but then at some point you will have to leave and your life will be miserable again. I have had the best hotel experience of my life in room 401 and I still can’t get over it.

Very beautiful island with stunning beaches and breathtaking...
Very beautiful island with stunning beaches and breathtaking views. Lot of local people and not so crowded in october compared to Phuket or other islands. However, it can be a bit dirty and old outside turistic areas. Overall a great way to see the beaches while also understanding the local life. Lots of restaurants and nice places on the walking street. The island is small and can be done by walking from almost any resort

A good place to relax and stop over before you go to Koh Lipe or Koh Adang. I would recommend Papaya Mom 2 Restaurant for delicious HALAL AUTHENTIC THAI FOOD. A visit by walking or jogging near the Mu Ko Phetra National Park during sunset was awesome and great view.

I don't remember the city of Satun...
I don't remember the city of Satun... There is the Province of Satun. However, the city of Pak Bara is worth visiting, especially the waterfront and the nice (slightly crowded) cafes. The nearby "Mu Ko Phetra National Park" deserves special attention with a long jetty enabling a trip to the time of dinosaurs.

I was here in low season so 60% of bars and stuff were either closed or empty. Doesn’t matter there’s lots of nature to discover for the adventurous at heart. Diving, koh Adang, fishing, kayaking, snorkeling and lazy walks followed by legit massage

I was there on business heading to Langkawi so only one night then the ferry the next day. With transport there is a lot to see in Satun. A quiet little backwater coastal town that has a ferry to Langkawi. If I had time I would do more exploring. I ate at the local shops a donut and a coffee. Main meal at my room as I brought it with me in my car fridge. I did go to a excellent coffee shop before checking into my room. Satun is developing but in not way touristic, No crowds

Koh Lipe is a tropical gem with stunning beaches, turquoise waters and a laid-back atmosphere, perfect for snorkeling, diving, and relaxing. However, there is noticeable plastic pollution, some roads are in very poor condition with deep potholes and puddles, and trash can be seen along certain areas. After about a week, you’ve pretty much seen the whole island, so it’s ideal for a short stay.

Good place to stay with your family on your vacation. Good eating place around the area such as: Papaya Mom, Rim Lay Kitchen & Restaurant, Nava Seafood, Bara Roti and few other restaurants. You can also go to Koh Lipe for the stay and some other water activities.
