We were a bit afraid for some of the reviews were quite worrisome, however there is absolutely no justification for them based on our experience. To beging with we received every bit of information necessary for a safe and comfortable arrival. We were greeted in the most amazing way by the whole hotel staff, making us feel like real VIPs. The room was beautiful with atention to all the details with a beautiful bed with bug screen, closet, safety box, a small fridge with cold water, a fully stocked bathroom with a shower with a view, a balcony with sunbeds and a place to dry wet clothes, a small living room with chairs, coffee pot, etc. Of course we did find a few bugs in the room throughout our stay but this is a tropical island, made us wonder what people complaining of insects in the room were thinking when they booked a destination called "Natural Reserve". The food at the restaurants was excellent as were the drinks (try the Long Island it is to die for). Overall we had an amazing stay and we highly recommend the place. They have some rooms overlooking the sea with jacuzzi, but ours was not one of those. Try them and let us know your experience so we can book one of those next time! Everything at Zeavola was perfect and beyond any expectations we could have. Location is beautiful, hotel layout is splendid, rooms are peaceful and furnished with all the necessary & more, everything perfectly cleaned every day, breakfast is delicious, restaurant offers for all tastes and we loved everything we ate there, activity desk is open all day with a smile and offers flexible and really qualitative trips at a fair price, the massages are among the best we’ve ever had and the multiple little attentions were a cherry on the cake every day. Beyond the beauty of the hotel and the environment, it is the people who work there that make Zeavola one of a kind. The staff is incredibly kind and smiling, experienced, present without being oppressive and makes everything possible. My husband and I are fortunate to have been able to stay in beautiful places in Europe and several exotic places around the world, and Zeavola has been the most remarkable experience we have had so far. Stay away from the main town part if you want some quiet.
Stay away from the main town part if you want some quiet. It's over commercialized, and touristy. The resorts are overpriced for their services and amenities. However we loved Long Beach. It was a beautiful beach. If you like tea, I recommend you bring it from home. It's very hard to find good black tea in Thailand. When I stepped off the ferry, I was in absolutely awe, and immediately fell in love. It's a beautiful, small island, still packed with bars, restaurants and shops. I only stayed one night and I think 2 nights would have been enough. I did the phi phi viewpoint hike, which was killer, especially in the heat. It did get crowded for sunset, so grab your pictures before the crowd arrives. You can walk everywhere, no transport on the island as not needed. I ate at the pirate bar/restaurant, great beach view seating. I also ate at a little cafe near my accommodation, but can't remember the name......Guest review byLacyAustralia
