Most importantly the friendliness and easy going vibe of the couple who owns and run the place. I personally enjoy having contact with people who feel real instead of an over zealous staff. You can rent a bike next door which makes it really easy upon departure when you have to return the bike.

I loved everything about my stay here. The vibe is super peaceful and the staff are genuinely kind and welcoming — you can feel they really care. My room was clean and cozy, with a beautiful sea view that made waking up each morning so special. The location is perfect — literally right by the beach. On top of that, I was gifted a free morning yoga class, which was such a beautiful surprise. The class was deeply grounding and set the tone for the whole day. I was actually severely sick with dengue fever when I arrived at the hotel and they honestly went above and beyond for me and looked after me in one of the most vulnerable and traumatic states I’ve ever been in. they allowed me to have massages in my room, liaised with the ambulance to come get me, let me check in early when I explained I was sick and just in general made a really rubbish time more bearable. they also took me to the shop late at night to get medication. granted everything came for a price but when you’re thst sick it doesn’t matter

    One of the exceptional resort that i have ever been , very nice rooms, wooden with thai sculptures and very nice baths , all rooms have view , restaurants food was delucious and very good valeu for money , and the people working at this resort are very nice and help you with everything, i did yoga and muay thai classes, which are free by the way, and the 2 guys were very nice. Also the SPA is senzational with lovelly ladies that have a vareity of massages , scrubs and others. Inside the resort is like a jungle exoerience with lots of trees , birds , flowers. In conclusion you won't be dissapointed, go ahead and book.

    Really nice place on the beach. room was cozy and nice. got a fridge and a safe. but the best thing is the view of the beach. the restaurant was great and the staff of the hotel was very nice and kept the place clean and tidy . it's worth mentioning that the hotel is in a quiet part of the island. so if you're looking for a chill stay on the beach, far from all the noise, that's the place for you. the sunset was amazing!

    Not the nicest part of island.

    Not the nicest part of island. Geared towards full moon party, laughing gas and fire shows. Quiet when not full moon in a nice way but the town is run down. Haad Rin beach is beautiful though. Saw quite a few families which was nice. Rented our bike from here and explored the island for a few days. Road between Haad Rin and Thong Sala and everywhere else on the East/West of the island is very steep hills to ride by bike.

    I choose to stay in Bann Tai for its central location.

    I choose to stay in Bann Tai for its central location. There are much nicer locations on the island to stay, however if you are like me, and like to explore, then this location is best as its in the middle of the coast line, and its close to central heart road ways that take you to any part of the island quickly.

    Amazing place on the island.

    Amazing place on the island. Lots of cafe's, restaurants and more. Nothing is too far really, jump on the bike and go 15min to another spot, be very careful in the corners when riding your bike......lots of people get a "Koh Phangan" tattoo there meaning they crash and the scars. Sand in corners means, slow down!!! I recommend Papaya Massage for great Thai and oil massage. Enjoy a great beautiful Phangan.

    Lovely area on Koh Phangan.

    Lovely area on Koh Phangan. Many local and also westernised food places (Ann's and Shish Kebab were our favourites!), shops and of course pristine beaches. Worth hiring a scooter to explore around and enjoy the island vibes.

    Great location , lovely village great restaurants, not over crowded , family friendly. We ate in many local restaurants , the food was superb and very reasonably . Good variety of shops and supermarkets , we didn't travel outside the resort as didn't need to but plenty of taxis if needed

    Aside from the turquoise water, there is a reef just a few yards from the shore where you can snorkel and see beautiful fish, big clams, and coral. Although much of the coral is bleached and dead, there's enough living coral there for adults and kids to enjoy. Since the water is shallow, it's safe to walk all the way out where it gets a little deeper for better snorkeling. The beach is a white sand beach, but we recommend swim shoes which are available at a little grocery store, along with snorkel masks. Many beachside restaurants to choose from. Although there is no public shower, some restaurants have an outdoor shower available.

    I was in haad rin beach, it pretty much is a village. A nice one, but no sidewalks, everything is cheap, a bit dirty. Compared to Phuket it really is a small village. But the full moon party was amazing, so much fun! So it definitely was worth it!

    Location - it was like a dream.

    Location - it was like a dream. And they had a broom right outside our door so when the inevitable sand was tracked into our room, we could clean it up. We never ate in the restaurant so I can't say how it was, but the other options nearby were excellent. If you're staying longer than 3 nights and want to see more than just the hotel and its surroundings, you'll want to rent a scooter.

    I was expecting Haad Rin to be more crowded, dirty, and over touristy. But it wasn't! Yes, there are plenty of shops and bars and the streets are a little lively, but the beach itself is spacious, clean, and so relaxing. We aren't partiers and we had a fantastic stay in this area.
