- From US$771.23 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 402 reviewsFrom the moment your driver picks you up at the airport, to when you step the island and into paradise, you already feel the luxury and comfort. Each and every staff member makes you feel at home, at takes great care of you, remembering names, preferences and checks in regularly. The resort is magnificent, hidden in a secluded bay on a private island, and lives up to its 5-star fame. The restaurant with great menu, the edgeless pool with ocean view, the bar with breathtaking views, they bay to snorkel in, everything adds up to a great stay. The beach view villa is large, with a great kind bed, and direct views on the beach, and has its own indoor and outdoor bathroom area, with a large rain shower. There is a safe, a TV with apps like Netflix etc, and an airconditioning that works great to cool things down for a proper night sleep. While there is no cell reception on the island, they do have fast and good internet via Starlink. From every villa, or resort area you can access the wifi and be connected, if needed. Power is steady as they have their own generators and large solar farm up the mountain. Everything is taken care of: from carying your suitcases from the dock to the villa, the turndown service at sunset, the extra towels at the pool and bay area, a water hose at your front steps to shower off the sand from your slippers, etc. Definitely a 5-start paradise!Guest review byMaarten GoetNetherlands
- From US$1,476.24 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 57 reviewsOur stay at El Nido Resorts Pangulasian was truly unforgettable. Surrounded by stunning nature, crystal-clear waters, and breathtaking sunsets, the resort offers the perfect mix of luxury and tranquility. We stayed in a beautifully decorated and well-equipped beach villa with a stunning sea view. The food and drink options were excellent, and the choice of activities was fantastic. A highlight was our 4-hour private boat tour, where starting early at 7 AM allowed us to enjoy El Nido’s most beautiful spots in peaceful solitude. We happened to come across a school of about a hundred dolphins who were curious enough to approach all around our boat. The hospitality was outstanding. Special thanks to Younes, the Food and Beverage Director, who made our stay memorable—just as he did during our honeymoon at Raffles Maldives four years ago. Also, a big thank you to Anton (the waiter), Anton (the guide), and Rei (the experience assistant) for their exceptional service. El Nido Resorts Pangulasian is a dream destination for anyone seeking luxury, adventure, and natural beauty. Highly recommended!Guest review byJade SkafGhana
- From US$77.97 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,373 reviewsAstoria Palawan is a perfect vacation paradise. Inside the resort that covers a large area, there are villas, pristine beach, water park, three infinity swimming pools, trees and grassland, artwork and sculptures. There is a restaurant and bar in the resort that offer excellent breakfast and dinner, both of which are buffet. The room is spacious and clean. There is also a fitness gym but equipments is not that many. The hotel offers shared van transportation service from Puerto Princesa airport to the hotel for PHP 500, which is reasonable. The staff is friendly and helpful. For example, the hotel offers transportation service from the hotel to El NIdo for PHP9000, when I told them this price is sort of expensive, they help me to stop a passing bus going to El Nido.Guest review byLianqingChina
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 100 reviewsI am in love with Maremegmeg! I love everything about this place. I cannot think of any negative/bad experience here. Let me start with the place. It is located in a quiet area of El Nido. They have a very good and clean beach front. They have a very clean pool as well. Staff- every single one of them are courteous, highly trained and really know what they are doing. They are friendly and they really deliver well. From restaurant, front office, housekeeping, tours etc. Ask them anything, they will deliver it. Food- Very very good food. We tried almost everything on the menu. Great for family, couples or even business. We will definitely go back.Guest review byBeverlyPhilippines

The room was perfect, new, cleaned on the daily basis, not to mention how comfortable the bed and the sheets were! Also the people working there made our stay ever more pleasant. We enjoyed being in contact with them, they were always ready to help and were not even a little intruding. Food - breakfast and dinner buffet: 10/10! We enjoyed our stay so much, we decided to extend our stay there for another two days. Thank you!Guest review byGorazdAustria

I really enjoyed town, but nacpan and duli area also nice places to stay! Lio is another nice spot to stay. Town is good if you like going out to eat, and see a lot of things But staying in lio, nacpan or duli is also nice if you want a more peaceful, quiet time. even sibaltan would be nice (check out the manta rays if you dive)Guest review byAnonymousPhilippines - 10

The calamian group of islands of which Coron is part of, is beautiful. And I hope all the measures to keep it pristine and unlittered will be successful always. There are many breathtaking sights. You would need a sizable budget though to be able to enjoy the boat tours which are wonderful. If you have the time, visit Culion. It is historical (a UNESCO site), and while the places to see could do a little tidying up, nevertheless, the history of that place invites reflection and inspires--many heroic people lived on that island. Kudos to the religious who have kept the place going since it was first established. The Culion museum should be your first stop.Guest review byGuiaPhilippines - 8.0

We didnt spend a lot of time in the Puerto itself sadly, given our resort was 90 minutes away but we made a couple of day trips and Puerto seems more relaxed & laid back than most cities in the Philippines with plenty of activities.Guest review byJulianQatar - 10
Absolutely!
Absolutely! San Vicente really flies under the radar compared to El Nido and Coron, but that’s part of its charm. It’s less crowded, more laid-back, and still boasts those stunning, unspoiled beaches—especially the 14-kilometer Long Beach, which feels like a hidden gem. The slower pace and warm, genuine hospitality from the locals really give it that authentic "island life" vibe. It’s perfect for people looking to relax, connect with nature, and avoid the more tourist-heavy scenes. Some even say it’s what El Nido felt like 10 or 15 years ago.Guest review bycesznadz39Philippines - 10
If you're looking for a beautiful tropical island to visit,...
If you're looking for a beautiful tropical island to visit, put this one on your list. It's relatively uncrowded, the people are very pleasant and the vistas are jaw dropping. If you are a diver, and have an interest in WWII, you will find an incredible 11 Japanese wrecks to dive. I'd recommend Pirate Divers, they are very professional and very conservative when it comes to evaluating risks. They also know the wrecks like their second home. Coron is a bustling town with good food and pleasant people, but the beauty of the island is the back country. I liked it enough in December that I'm returning in February. To get around, I'd suggest renting a scooter. If you are new to powered two wheel vehicles stay out of Coron, and pay attention to the roads, there are some surprisingly tight turns. Otherwise, since it is relatively uncrowded you should be fine.Guest review byJimUnited States - 10

Every day I walked from the hotel to Sabang wharf on the beach and on one day had coffee, adobo and itlog in a small cafe there. Everyone was very friendly, and I bought some Pasalubong, when they did not have my tee shirt size, they went to another shop to get it for me and to get change when I gave them 1000 peso note. I asked directions to the falls, but no one was exactly sure where it was or how long it would take to get there. The place was secure (police station at the wharf and coastguard and army regularly on patrol in the area. I eventually found the park that a friend recommended (5 km from the hotel) and had an excellent buffet lunch there twice and again they made Chester very welcome, the park was free and had some interesting, recycled artworks and a tribute to the devastation in the area by Typhoon Odette- well worth a visit. Also visit Buenavista viewpoint- the local community run it and you can get Buko juice, coffee, snacks and Pasalubong plus take great photos of the bayGuest review byNeil in BahrainPhilippines - 10

A delightful quiet backwater and so far less developed town. The beaches were beautiful and mostly clean. The town has plenty of activities to offer and places to eat. The whole place is walkable but you may want a Tuktuk or moped to visit further beaches.Guest review byAnnie EUnited Kingdom - 6.0

If you intend to visit Palawan you need to be more informed than I was. The Philippines are a poor country. Accommodation is cheap and as such you get what you paid for - No hot water, some cockroaches, you cannot swim in the water because of the jellyfish, plenty of sandflies and no shop to get any relief medication. There is no way to move around unless you organize transfers that cost you as much as your accommodation. A must see if you would like to see the culture. We were unable to snorkel due to weatherGuest review byKimAustralia - 10

El Nido has so many fun things to do, and we liked that while there were a plentitude of tourist options, we were not separated from local culture and activities that sometimes happens in other places. We were only there for four days, and we could have stayed another week. The beaches are beyond stunning, both the ones you can walk to and the ones that need a boat. The snorkeling was fantastic, the food options endless, and the vibe was chill and fun.Guest review byMaryUnited States - 10

Rooms are spacious, big selection if breakfast, friendly hotel staff. Infinity pool is okay, could have a bit deeper though. The other pool is undergoing refurbishment. Island hoping are a must to do. We ate in the town where they served fresh sea food.I think its called Island boy Grill. Outside the hotel the tricycle ride are ideal to get round Coron town proper for merely 30 pesos.Guest review byAlma
