- From $237.39 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,738 reviewsWe can’t speak highly enough of the hotel. From friendly and helpful staff, to clean comfortable rooms and a delicious breakfast. The best was the extremely comfortable bed. After travelling for the past three weeks across many hotels, we had the best sleep in the hotel for a long time. If I am ever in Trondheim again, I will definitely be staying here. The Japanese take away right outside the door and nearby Graffi Grill were also great places nearby (amongst other options) for mealsGuest review byDavidAustralia
- From $184.14 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,017 reviewsAn amazing hotel. It was -36 Celsius and we felt warm and cozy! The staff were so nice and had our kids throwing hot water outside to freeze in the air! Make sure you eat in their restaurant as it is exceptional. It is right in the middle of town too. Would highly recommend, especially for a family of 6. We had our own little area of rooms so we didn't have to worry about being noisy!Guest review byNicoleAustralia

The place is beautiful.
The place is beautiful. If you can, rather book a hotel or backpackers hostels. My experience of booking an apartment was terrible. So if travelling for a big event, book well in advance, and book hotels!Guest review bySinqobileSouth Africa - 10

Stayed here to work a flight and was delighted by the location, staff and bar options which are open until 1am, and a restaurant open until 9pm. Fab when options nearby are limited. A lovely garden around the pool area, peaceful and tranquil given its a 4 minute walk from the terminal. Bed were a little soft but once youre in you dont notice. No slamming doors which is a huge bonus in my book, and although no tea and coffee in the room, theres a station for you to make your own for 10sek. Breakfast is plentiful with a huge range of hot and cold options and also, an incredibly peaceful experience. A lovely little gem!Guest review byAnonymousUnited Kingdom - 10

The town definitely deserves the UNESCO status that it has the buildings date back from the 16th century and with the history of the copper mines makes it all more interesting. The wooden buildings are exceptional and the insight of how the miners used to live. It gives you food for thoughtGuest review byJeanFrance - 10
I stopped in Oppdal by train from Kongsvold.
I stopped in Oppdal by train from Kongsvold. I was on my way to Trondheim doing the pilgrimage of St. Olav's Way. Oppdal is this small town that has a lot of charm. I was able to walk around town for a little bit. There are sidewalks throughout town that allow you to get all over the place. Transportation - There is a train that can take you north to Trondheim. There's also a bus if you need to go to Berkåk. This makes it easy to get around. There's even a taxi service by the name of Trønder Taxi AS that you can use to get around. Warning - taxis are pretty pricey in Norway and I would recommend using public transportation if you can. Download Vy app to check times and buy any tickets you may need. I ended up eating at Burger King in Oppdal(I know, very American of me). I wanted to have something quick to eat. I will say this, fast food chains are more expensive than local restaurants.Guest review by#soarindisneyUnited States - 8.0

The 'Bakeri' over the road from Tino's Hotell is well worth a visit. It's very expensive, but the cakes and food are delicious. For evening meals, we recommend Tino's - which was exceptional and fairly well priced. There are plenty of buses if you're on foot.Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - 10

Malvik provided easy access to Trondheim and the many museums and historical sites to see in the area. The neighborhood had a fireworks show for New Year's Eve that was withing walking distance and fun for the whole family. The beaches looked very nice, too, but as we were there in winter, we didn't spend time on the beaches.Guest review bySandraUnited States - 6.0

Everything is great — both the nature around the city and the city itself are beautiful. My main piece of advice would be to visit Egon Tårnet — a restaurant located in a tower with stunning views of the city and the fjord. The tower slowly rotates about 360° per hour, so you get to see the entire city while you dine. The food is excellent as well. People everywhere speak English, so getting help or service in English is no problem. The only downside is the prices — they can be quite high.Guest review byMykhailoUkraine - 10

Beautiful and historical UNESCO world heritage city. Definitely must to visit place. Food and accommodation is more expensive than in Oslo. You should well plan your visit. I recommend you to take walking tour with guide from the MuseumGuest review byAdnan2016Norway - 10

I was at Hell to see the Hell round for the world rallycross championship, I spent Friday exploring Trondheim as well, the town was great and very easy to get to, with the frequent running train service from the airport to there, in Hell. There’s a decent shopping centre and a few little fast food restaurants, an iconic place to stop and visit is definitely Hell, gods expedition, don’t forget to get your passport stamped at the hell post office too!Guest review byDarrylUnited Kingdom
