It has been an amazing staying at Parkroyal Langawi Resort! The hotel is high class, beachfront, very close to the popular Cenang beach and the staff is very helpful, friendly, smiley with positive energy! Highly recommend it and if we come back to Langawi we will definitely choose it again.

The hotel is superb, great facilities and great staff. People are all very friendly and attentive. The check in procedure is great and easy. The staff explain very everything in detail, the breakfast, the facilities in the hotel and the room. Everyone is proactively to offer help and advice during our stay. The staff in the Langkawi Kitchen is great. Everyday, we have got recommended with their food and drink, don't miss that if you are staying in this hotel. The manager at the Langkawi Kitchen is very sharp and detail minded. He pays attention to every customer in the hotel and he can remember that I have coffee every morning. The yoga trainer proactively invited to the free yoga class. The staff did tell us a lot about Langkawi. The buggy service is great. The room is designed thoughtfully and we like every detail in the room. It's well furnished. The bed is great and comfy. The view is absolutely stunning with great sea view and forest. You can see different species of animals at the balcony which makes you feel that you are a part of the nature. Other than the Langkawi Kitchen, we had our dinner at the Horizon Bar. Great location for dinner with the infinity pool. You can see the most beautiful sunset in there. Drinks and food are nice, even though it's bit pricey. But it's a great experience spending time there. End up, we spent more time in the hotel as you have a lot to explore. The facilities in the hotel are all great, the beach, the gym room.

Staff was very friendly and the owner was very hospitable. My kids were using the pool in the evening, the owner came out to light mosquito incense for us as we waited by the poolside. Beds were comfy. There is a common area where you can dine and relax. Also some games to entertain kids.

The staff were amazing and so helpful and welcoming from the moment we stepped it. Everything is so personal and comfortable. The breakfast is cooked by the owner every morning. The cocktails are amazing. The rooms are incredible. Everything is so intentional in the hotel. But It really is the staff that make it though, they are all so kind and helpful and friendly.     The beach was amazing. The water was warm (29°C) and the beach is white sand (no pebbles or stones). The entrance to the sea was flat, the depth of the water goes to neck up to fourty meters from the beach (varies depending on whether it's high tide or low tide). The location is 20 min from airport on car and 10 min walk from Oriental Village and the Sky Cable / Sky Bridge, etc. We also tried the Taaras Spa (one scrub program, one foot relaxology massage and one 90 min Taaras massage). The three of us went happy out. Amenities are great. At breakfast there are multiple open kitchen stations (several egg stations preparing fried eggs or omelets, pancakes station, and separate Roti station). At every station one can choose ingredients for his/her food to be prepared of. Those guys work from 7 a.m. till 10 a.m. under 38°C every morning! The juices are a separate pleasure. They also offer fresh juices in the Beach Brasserie, milkshakes in Dayong Cafe & Beach Brasserie, and mocktails. Look for Temperance Drinks (section without photos) in the Beach Brasserie menu, and try Funky Monkey there. It's amazing! Also thanks for keeping up the great work with nature preservation (we saw each tree numbered), and with the whole ecocare approach. Special thanks to the Vallet Team, Great friendly overworking team (24 hrs), the Room Service Team and especially the Sports & Recreational Team! The Vallet / Shuttle Team also offers a free shuttle each 2 hrs to Orinetal Village / Sky Cable from hotel. And the Sports & Recreational Team beyond usual water activities offer Bird Watching Tour (on the hotel territory, which flora & fauna is rich), they also provide tour from hotel to the Kilim Geoforest Park with options: group (day or night) & private, diving & fishing, island hopping, jungle walking & zipline, and so on. Don't pass by their table opposite to Registration counter, where the Spa table is also located.

    We had an absolutely wonderful family holiday at Pelangi Beach Hotel and Spa, traveling with our toddler — and we already can’t wait to return! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the lush, beautifully maintained gardens and the spacious layout of the resort. It felt like a tropical haven where every corner offered peace and relaxation. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the amazing pool areas. Thoughtfully designed, they were a treat not just for the body, but also for the soul and the eye. The kids’ waterplay zone, complete with slides and splash features, was a huge hit with our little one. We especially appreciated how easy it was to hop between the main pool and the children’s pool — such a smart and family-friendly layout. A thoughtful touch we admired: the waterplay area was turned off during the peak midday sun (12–2pm), which shows real consideration for guest comfort and health — we saw far too many sunburnt tourists elsewhere on the island. Breakfast was a daily delight! The buffet offered a generous variety, and we loved the option of outdoor seating in the fresh morning air. Our room was ideally located, just steps from the beach — perfect for our evening strolls along Pelangi Beach, where we enjoyed the buzzing street scene with local artists and dazzling fire shows. Fitness enthusiasts will be pleased to know that the gym is equipped with brand-new machines and offers breathtaking ocean views. And everywhere we went — from the clean rooms to the well-kept animal area, pools, and kids’ indoor play zone — the entire resort was immaculately maintained. The evenings came alive with a fantastic live band, who happily took requests and delivered every song beautifully. It was the perfect way to wind down our days.

    Simply: everything! Ambong Rainforest Retreat is such a great place run by lovely people. Everything is well thought through and the service is exceptional. In fact we loved the stay so much that we changed our travel schedule to enjoy more time here. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful nature, yet, the Cenang strip/mall is within walking distance (30min) or alternatively a Grab/taxi can be hailed easily. The hotel staff - everyone (!) - is super nice and helpful with suggesting activities and what not. The breakfast is delicious and guests can choose between two wonderful restaurants with great atmosphere and views (one is vegan). Thanks to the whole Ambong Team for having us and making our honeymoon start as amazing as it could have been - we will definitely stay at Ambong when coming back to Langkawi!

    Our Stay at La Villa is made wonderful with the whole Team taking really good care of us. We were welcome by the Team at the entrance including Mr Dave the Hotel consultant. We felt pampered. Azzat the housekeeper, took great care of every little things we needed during our stay. We were really grateful to have him. Shairi made our breakfast experience at La Yang wonderful by sharing his stories with us and introducing La Villa to us. This hotel is perfect for our family of 5. We love the facilities in the house especially the pool. Everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast is really good! Highly recommended for your next family vacation!!

    Pantai Cenang is a beautiful beach with soft white sand, clear waters, and stunning sunsets.     Average Malaysian town.

    Average Malaysian town. Not much to do other than a couple museums/art gallery. I'm there to visit family, but would not go out of my way to take a holiday there. Ramadan bazaar was a highlight, though.

    Kuah is just about decent but i would prefer the Cenang...

    Kuah is just about decent but i would prefer the Cenang Beach area . If you can't get a hotel there, Kuah should be your next choice. The Island is small so you can get around in under 30 minutes to any spot of the island.

    It is a small peaceful town with lots of shops you find in big cities. The food is cheap. The Pasar Tani was interesting. It is situated behind Restoran Berkat. This restaurant consists of a few stalls serving local delicacies. A must come for people not familiar with the local food. There is a more modern township called Amanjaya for the younger ones. But I prefer the area around the famous Clock Tower.

    A lot lot of flies at Kapitop food court, ordering drinks taking too long. So many flies on the table while you are eating. Drink counter filled with flies. Fly sticky mat have more than 50 flies on it. Yuks..

    Small town, not suitable for shoppers.

    Small town, not suitable for shoppers. Recommended for those who enjoying eating. Recommended place is Dusun Riffa which can spend time from 9 am - 7 pm with good scenery, clean place and very good food. Also recommended KinKin Restaurant which is cheap but tasty. A few more good foods but can find other places as well. Bundle shops - there are a lot of good stuff to shop with good quality.

    The staff were lovely and very welcoming.

    The staff were lovely and very welcoming. The Thai Restaurant was amazing - getting to the Sky Cab was just walking distance, that's worth a visit. I did a Mangrove Tour which was pretty good... I went on my own but a group tour might have been just as good.

    Great beach, not to many people, good to watch the sunset.

    Great beach, not to many people, good to watch the sunset. But lots of it is privat and your only allowed to walk along the shore in these parts, which is kinda sad and stupid as you wouldnt disturb anyone by staying there. but the public places are great too so not too much of a let down.

    Its just a great vacation here.. the staff is so friendly and the place was just too great.. i wish they have a lift so that customer can bring up their stuff easily.. overall very satisfied and if have a chance will come again to this beautiful place..

    Most happening area of Langkawi.

    Most happening area of Langkawi. Only beach with sports activities like parasailing, water scooter, boats, kyaking etc. Lots of cafes around and and a big flee market with multiple duty free shops nearby. Above all underwater world is also at 2 mins of drive from pantai cenang beach. Above all vegitarian indian food is also available in few restaurants of pantai cenang market.
