- From US$182.75 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,581 reviewsOur stay at Arena Beach Hotel was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and cared for. They were always attentive, friendly, and willing to assist with anything we needed, whether it was arranging excursions or offering local recommendations. The location of the hotel is unbeatable – right on the beach, offering stunning views and easy access to the best spots on the island. The rooftop pool and sun deck were perfect for relaxing, and the hotel’s private beach area was pristine and well-maintained. The rooms were spacious, clean, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The restaurant offered a great variety of delicious dishes, and the daily breakfast buffet was a highlight of our mornings. We genuinely believe Arena Beach Hotel is the best hotel on Maafushi, not just for its prime location but for the warmth and professionalism of the staff. We can’t thank them enough for making our stay so memorable. Without a doubt, we’ll be back again – this hotel feels like a home away from home. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the Maldives!Guest review byJanCzech Republic
- From US$3,794.97 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 104 reviewsThank you for fast and smooth boat transfer, did’t have to wait at Male airport. Also thank you for early check-in so we could enjoy the holiday as soon as possible (this is the thing that is not usually available in hotels). We got villa 181 with beautiful sand beach and view with sea and palms. Not windy, calm & clear water. The island has about 15 beaches, explored them all by bicycle or walk. The beaches were really beautiful. Delicious food at breakfast and Rhabarbaro restaurant for dinner. Especially like breakfast buffet with choice of a la carte menu.Guest review bySilviaSlovakia
- From US$1,158.30 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 814 reviewsWe had an amazing experience at the resort! The staff is incredibly friendly and the food is very good and diverse, whether you are vegetarian or any other food preferences. The staff made sure to ask us to clean the room 2 times/day. Although we didn't need it always, as we wouldn't spend too much time in the room, it is perfect for those who have kids, etc. The beach was always clean. The dinner under the stars was perfect, so quiet and very attentive staff. Also, teh water is perfect for snorkeling in the bay, as there are no currents.Guest review byGavrilaDenmark
- From US$495.50 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,162 reviewsWe really enjoyed our stay at Hard Rock Hotel. We stayed all inclusive and only for two nights there but it was really worth the money. The staff were so kind and helful, facilities and rooms were really clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious food and drinks a lot, as well as the entertainment such as live music bands at the pool bar as well as the Hard Cafe. We also loved the fact that we were given bikes to roam around the island, which made our trips between the islands faster and more enjoyable.Guest review bySezgiDenmark

And it was fantastic - the room, the location of the villa, everything. And the food (we had half board) was also great. One of the most beautiful places in the world.
One of the most beautiful places in the world. Wherever you look, you'll find postcard worthy landscape. The ocean was very clean, ideal for snorkling and apparently it was a good spot for surfing as well. All in all, a must see.Guest review byÁkosHungary - 10

Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced. One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there. Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.Guest review byNigelUnited Kingdom - 10

I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!Guest review byInaNorway - 10
We LOVED Dhiffushi!
We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!Guest review byClannyUnited Kingdom - 10

I absolutely loved my time in Thulusdhoo - my first time in the Maldives! I feel I picked a fabulous island to spend 4 days of relaxation and calmness following a busy elective healthcare placement. The island was so beautiful and peaceful. The beaches were so clean, white sands, the water was crystal clear, all sun-loungers free to use and very friendly locals and business owner stalls, businesses, and restaurants. A couple I met whilst away also got engaged on sunset beach with the most beautiful backdrop (a real must to visit during the evenings)! Plenty of places to choose from to eat - from beach bars to evening dining. I went to Juice Bench every day for lunch, the staff were so kind and smiley and the food was delicious and fresh. I also ate dinner at Indulge (10/10 pizza!), Cafe Bandaha for dinner, amazing tikka masala curry and the freshest apple juice! (Breakfast was included in my hotel - Eden Blue - which I also highly recommend!). I took two excursions with Baani Watersports - first the reef shark and stingray trip, which was absolutely amazing! The second trip was the sandbank and turtles trip, again - amazing! The team were very friendly, fun, and ensured we were looked after throughout. They took fabulous photo's of us all on their gopro which they sent to us afterwards free of charge. I also found their pricing very competitive! Getting around the island is easy peasy. I walked every day, it is quite small so can be easily lapped in around 45 minutes of strolling. People were also using mopeds and bicycles. I also received a complementary shuttle service from the ferry port to my accommodation and back which was a very welcomed bonus. Overall, the island is wonderful, the people are so lovely, and I'm SO glad I picked this island to spend my 4 days! I hope to be back one day soon - perhaps with someone next time so I have a companion in the evenings when it's a little quieter!Guest review byLaurenL97United Kingdom - 8.0

It is a really peaceful island with a really nice beach. Beach has almost that resort level quality to it. Island is small, so besides water activities or some excursions, there is not much to do, so for some travelers it might get boring.Guest review byVladimirSerbia - 10

Guraidhoo - ferry every day and easy to reach from Male, not so busy yet, not yet ugly concrete big buildings, bikini beach is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. White soft sand with turquoise warm water and sandy shore for fantastic swimming and walking on the sandbar - great for kids too, sunbeds and good cafe on the beach, there are corals and ship wreck for snorkeling and not to forget the shark feeding place - simply amazing to watch sharks and rays - great entertainment for the evening. There are great restaurants with fantastic prices. This island is amazing choice !Guest review byDarinaSlovakia - 10

Huraa immediately felt peaceful, unique and refreshing, with serene beaches, stunning views, vibrant coral reefs, and lush green mangrove swamps that makes the island feel untouched. The shallow lagoons connecting to nearby spots, mangroves, and quiet corners create a sense of calm, while watching seaplanes land adds a unique charm. The island is vibrant yet uncrowded, offering a perfect balance of natural beauty and tranquility that makes every moment relaxing and memorable.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
