- From US$811.63 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 103 reviewsIn my opinion, this is the best place on earth to relax and disconnect from the craziness of everyday life. This is also the only resort in the Maldives that I have no hesitation returning to. The staff, the food and the facilities are fabulous, but the best thing about this place is the house reef with its beautiful marine life. Nothing beats swimming with and amongst the beautiful fish and countless other sea creatures. You can't experience that in places offering just a blue lagoon. The water is crystal clear when the weather is good, the sand is soft, and you are not stepping - and shouldn't anyway - on any corals. You have to swim a bit to get to them. The staff at the restaurant are lovely and very happy to accommodate any special requests guests might have, but quite frankly, I doubt they have to do it often as the variety of dishes offered is plentiful and very well prepared. I love staying at this resort and will be heading there again in a few days' time. I can hardly wait! I highly recommend this place to anyone wishing to visit the Maldives and have the best experience possible.Guest review bySvetlaBelgium
- From US$641.06 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 90 reviewsThe snorkeling was the best we've ever done. I don't expect to have another experience like this again. Filitheyo has no motor boats or jet skis which means the fish are not startled and has incredible coral surrounding the island meaning for incredible snorkeling experience. We had a water villa for 10 days and so happy we did. Countless variety of fish constantly swimming about including dolphins. Meals were great from the main restaurant, lots of variety. Main bar was a great place to go prior to dinner. Outside of snorkeling our favourite place was the sunset bar and pool. Big thank you to Viraj, Faruk, Raj, Rubeun for amazing service, kindness and a welcoming friendly attitude to everyone who entered the Sunset Bar. Thank you to Kasheem who took care of our villa and Dain who multitasks front desk and our snorkeling guide. All staff were always willing to help. Recommend the BBQ. Even though we were all inclusive the BBQ was well worth the extra cost.Guest review byCameronSingapore
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 159 reviewsMe and my friend had a fantastic stay. The location is great, although a small island we found this to be one of the nicest areas to stay and were glad we had booked this hotel. The room was comfortable and really clean. The staff was kind and attentive also. Fazlan stood out with his professionalism yet also personable approach. He really made us feel at home. Suggesting local foods, adding more spice!!! and local excursions. He went above and beyond by organising a small tour through the local school. Everything was organised flawlessly and efficiently.Guest review byIlseAustralia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 391 reviews🇿🇦 Came all the way from Cape Town to celebratebrate our honeymoon at this beautiful resort. The most aesthetic looking, beautiful place I have visited in the world. Crystal clear water with easy accessible coral to snorkel (bring your own gearr then you can snorkel whenever you want to). Such friendly staff who go out of their way to make your stay as memorable as possible with various activities and events organized by the Riu group. Great food and drinks as well. Wouldn’t think twice to come backcl again. Many thanks Riu for the trip of a lifetime!Guest review byArrieSouth Africa
- From US$2,348.78 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 341 reviewsThe hotel is amazing. We had a beach villa secluded by mangrove bushes. The beach from our side of the island was a great for swimming while the other side was good for snorkeling. Though the reef wasn’t colourful enough we could meet turtles and baby sharks near the dolphin villas. The food was awesome. And there is sand all around the island so you can walk everywhere barefoot.Guest review byDmitryRussia

Lovely pool area. Also a good sea front with tree shade & loungers. A beautiful beach "Bounty advert style" is within a 5 minutes walk. Delicious food with plenty of maldivian/asian dishes spiced to perfection. live music twice a week (Great Band). Exceptional value compared to island resorts.Guest review byStephenUnited Kingdom

I enjoyed pretty much everything.
I enjoyed pretty much everything. It was a super place to go for a one week holiday. You're a captivated audience on such a small island but there was more than enough to keep you occupied for the week. The food was excellent, the staff extremely supportive and I think that RIU have a near perfect arrangement for the 'all inclusive' experience.Guest review byStuartUnited Kingdom - 10

If you are on a budget, using the local ferry's are a big save in regards to travel and make Island hopping do able. They are 3 time the length of time, at 1 tenth of the price of a speedboat. We still enjoyed sitting out front and watching the dolphins swim with the boat. The trip back was empty and we chatted to the crew. (30 min speedboat vs 1h30 Ferry) The Ferry goes ever 2 days so we did the Maafushi to Fulidhoo, slept 2 nights then got onto it again from Thinadhoo. Two beautiful Islands.Guest review bymorneSouth Africa - 10
Amazing resort I would highly recommend.
Amazing resort I would highly recommend. This was our second stay at Kandima and our experience exceeded the first. Good selection of meals provided throughout the day and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Our shuttle bus driver Gasimm was very patient and informative on the ecosystem. Excellent facilities for children.Guest review byClarkeUnited Kingdom - 10

If you ever can go to Maldives, there is only one place: Madifushi Private Islands. It's a new heaven on earth, and the experience will blow you away. The activities, the SPA, the food, the staff, Sacha, the manager [Omar], the room service the views. I can't stop, honestly. Never been to a better place.Guest review byAllen O.United Kingdom - 10
Lovely island that can be walked around in 20-30 mins.
Lovely island that can be walked around in 20-30 mins. Great sandy beaches, beautiful crystal clear waters, plenty of sea life (fish, rays, turtles, reef sharks etc) that all can be observed from the beach or from your over-water bungalow. One side of the island looks out to open sea and the other side of the islands looks towards neighboring islands in the same atoll. The walk from the room to the reception area or the restaurant or the dive shop are all 5-10 mins (but some rooms are much closer to the facilities such as the beach bungalows). Our room was 501 which was one of the Pool Suites. There are 4 pool suites in total. Room 501 has access to the snorkeling reef and at low tide you can enjoy your own private swimming pool. The staff said that Room 501 was the best of the Pool Suites so ask for this room specifically. The restaurant has an amazing selection of food from many different cultures (Indian, Sri Lankan, Maldives, Japanese, Korean, western cuisine...) and always an abundance of fresh produce, fruits, salads. If you take up the All Inclusive dining package then all meals and drinks - even cocktails by the pool - are included. Also included the mini bar in your room however this is only restocked daily. The facilities are clean, the staff are friendly and always willing to help. The room was cleaned daily and the pool was cleaned every 2nd day. What I really appreciated was the pool cleaner asking me if I wanted to add chlorine to the pool. I opted to NOT add chlorine as the pool water flows over the infinity edge into the reef. Having the pool vacuumed every 2nd day was also not necessary but the staff were happy to assist and wanted to make sure you had a great stay. We visited Velifushi in April 2024 which was lovely weather around 32 Deg C. We had a few brief storms that lasted no more than 10 mins during the early hours of the morning but the daytimes were great weather. Highly recommend Velifushi to you.Guest review byPablo_123Australia - 10

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left they made us feel so welcome and so special. Everyone in the team just wanted to ensure that we had the best time. From the captain/boss Ahmed, to John the host, to Arbi and the waiters, the chef and through to all the guys on the boat. We got to know them all and felt like part of a family. I couldn’t recommend it enough and if we could afford to, we’d go back next week! If you want the bustle of a big resort, then maybe this is not for you, but if you want to be somewhere that celebrates the beauty of nature and all that the Maldives has to offer, with people who love to show that to you, then this is the place for you. We felt like we knew the whole team by the end, they were all so genuine and thoughtful and caring. We’ve seldom had such personal attentive service and we’ve stayed in many places around the world, and they made our 25th anniversary such a special evening. If you want beauty, nature, simplicity, comfort, good food, great service and fantastic adventures with amazing attention to detail then just book Thari Fushi. We miss you all!Guest review byAlexisUnited Kingdom - 8.0
The reef surrounding the island is simply amazing,...
The reef surrounding the island is simply amazing, particularly the exit next to the water villas (nr. 4) and the ones facing north-west (nr. 5 & 6). Just snorkeling we had the chance to see an incredible variety of fishes and corals, we also swam alongside a turtle and sharks a couple of times! Staff is great, always gentle, kind and willing to help and assist. The food is great both in quality and in variety of offer, we really enjoyed our full board selection. We particularly appreciated the lack of "holiday village entertainment" and the authentic look & feel of the island (preserved but not over constructed). The water villas should be refreshed - they are a gem but furniture is not well preserved and now quite old. Currently the villas have 3 kinds of roof, with different colors and some feature colored fabrics covering some pieces: it's a real pity as they do not look premium and ruin the overall scenery. I hope they are just temporary. Additionally, extra costs are quite a burden, as rates are high and you even need to pay for plain water even if on a full board service.Guest review bySarah MirneItaly - 8.0
You can have a good snorkeling and beach experience here.
You can have a good snorkeling and beach experience here. The islanders far outnumber the tourists. The island is generally quiet and clean but it does have a lot of modern infrastructure in a small area. We didn’t dive but there is a local dive shop. We also saw several live aboards anchored nearby so the diving must be good.Guest review byChristineCanada - 10

Beautiful resort connected to two islands with a 1 km wooden bridge on top of the sea. The water pool Villa was amazing and quiet. The sky at night had all the starts in view. The personnel of the hotel friendly and attentive, would say “hello” and “good morning” to everyone. There are golf buggies to take you from all the places of the islands you are (waiting time was 5 to 15 min max). They offered us bicycles to move around and the vegetation in the islands was lash and fantastic. The only thing I would suggest is more options of food items at the buffet, lunch/dinner. If I compare the buffet lunch/dinners at the Residence Zanzibar… it has a big difference.Guest review byElliGreece - 10
Perfect place for total relaxation.
Perfect place for total relaxation. Maybe a few more activities for the ‘oldies’ would be good. We loved the bingo and Kahootz but the party music wasn’t our style. Enjoyed the saxophone player and the Irish singer. During the day maybe trivia or games?Guest review byJulieanne
