- From US$1,691.12 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 574 reviewsWe traveled from the airport to the resort in a seaplane by trans Maldivian airways. Waited at their lounge, which was amazing. It had swings, beds, spa, kids zone etc. It was right next to the airport, and was a luxurious lounge with great food and view. Our grandwater pool villa had the best view ever. It had a very big pool and is totally worth the money! At resort, the staff would wish us whenever and wherever they see us and its a very welcoming environment. When we’re eating, staff would come and ask for feedback. Most of the working staff is Indian. Among memorable staff were Vijay, Reddy and Dilshad, who provided good service. Food is expensive but good. Buffets at Aqua restaurant are the best in terms of quantity and quality and speed, and has lots of vegetarian food options. Had the best jalebi rabdi there. Avoid the other two restaurants since you need to wait 1+ hour for the food to arrive, and quantity is less. We did scuba diving, saw fish and corals, learnt from a Russian instructor. Saw Maldivian cultural night show - music and dance. Played table tennis, badminton, and pool. Fed the fish from our deck. Highly recommend a stay at Sun Siyam Vilu Reef!Guest review byPranavIndia
- From US$2,348.78 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 341 reviewsWe had an incredible experience at Sun Siyam Iru Veli. The turquoise waters, white sandy beaches, and luxurious villa were amazing. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the people. A special mention must go to Kadek from Aqua Orange. Her warm smile, attentive service, and genuine care made every meal feel personal and special. She truly went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and cared for. Alongside her, Hamood and Rana from Aqua Orange were great. They helped create such a comfortable and enjoyable dining atmosphere that we looked forward to every visit. We also want to mention Ripon from housekeeping, who kept our villa spotless. At Chemistry Bar, Sharaf and Chew were a joy to talk to. And of course, a big thank you to Shakeeb, our ambassador. From the moment we arrived, he made sure everything went smoothly. Sun Siyam Iru Veli is a beautiful destination, but it’s the amazing people who truly make it shine. We're so grateful for the experience and look forward to coming back.Guest review byBobanNorway
- From US$297.68 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 398 reviewsThe beach was great and very long, with lots of shadowing umbrellas and sunbeds, the structure a bit old but still comfortable and always clean. Food was very good and there was a wide range of choice, especially the live cooking spots (the chefs were very kind and fast). All the staff has been welcoming and fine, a special mention to: -HASSAN from the PADI diving center: he has been a great instructor and made us fall in love with scuba diving. He is also a photographer so he made for us a short film about our immersion: a memory we will always keep in our heart. Also very punctual and professional. -CHATHURANGA from the restaurant: he was the best supervisor ever: always very careful and smiling. He made every meal more pleasant. -YOOSUF from the boat excursion: he was so funny and easy going, he is a local and told us a lot about his island.Guest review byTomTonyItaly

Lovely pool area. Also a good sea front with tree shade & loungers. A beautiful beach "Bounty advert style" is within a 5 minutes walk. Delicious food with plenty of maldivian/asian dishes spiced to perfection. live music twice a week (Great Band). Exceptional value compared to island resorts.Guest review byStephenUnited Kingdom

Amazing snorkeling off the beach. Pristine and quiet beaches. Beautiful rooms cleaned regularly. Free flowing cocktails and drinks all hours. I enjoyed pretty much everything.
I enjoyed pretty much everything. It was a super place to go for a one week holiday. You're a captivated audience on such a small island but there was more than enough to keep you occupied for the week. The food was excellent, the staff extremely supportive and I think that RIU have a near perfect arrangement for the 'all inclusive' experience.Guest review byStuartUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Amazing resort I would highly recommend.
Amazing resort I would highly recommend. This was our second stay at Kandima and our experience exceeded the first. Good selection of meals provided throughout the day and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Our shuttle bus driver Gasimm was very patient and informative on the ecosystem. Excellent facilities for children.Guest review byClarkeUnited Kingdom - 10.0

If you are on a budget, using the local ferry's are a big save in regards to travel and make Island hopping do able. They are 3 time the length of time, at 1 tenth of the price of a speedboat. We still enjoyed sitting out front and watching the dolphins swim with the boat. The trip back was empty and we chatted to the crew. (30 min speedboat vs 1h30 Ferry) The Ferry goes ever 2 days so we did the Maafushi to Fulidhoo, slept 2 nights then got onto it again from Thinadhoo. Two beautiful Islands.Guest review bymorneSouth Africa - 10.0

If you ever can go to Maldives, there is only one place: Madifushi Private Islands. It's a new heaven on earth, and the experience will blow you away. The activities, the SPA, the food, the staff, Sacha, the manager [Omar], the room service the views. I can't stop, honestly. Never been to a better place.Guest review byAllen O.United Kingdom - 10.0
Lovely island that can be walked around in 20-30 mins.
Lovely island that can be walked around in 20-30 mins. Great sandy beaches, beautiful crystal clear waters, plenty of sea life (fish, rays, turtles, reef sharks etc) that all can be observed from the beach or from your over-water bungalow. One side of the island looks out to open sea and the other side of the islands looks towards neighboring islands in the same atoll. The walk from the room to the reception area or the restaurant or the dive shop are all 5-10 mins (but some rooms are much closer to the facilities such as the beach bungalows). Our room was 501 which was one of the Pool Suites. There are 4 pool suites in total. Room 501 has access to the snorkeling reef and at low tide you can enjoy your own private swimming pool. The staff said that Room 501 was the best of the Pool Suites so ask for this room specifically. The restaurant has an amazing selection of food from many different cultures (Indian, Sri Lankan, Maldives, Japanese, Korean, western cuisine...) and always an abundance of fresh produce, fruits, salads. If you take up the All Inclusive dining package then all meals and drinks - even cocktails by the pool - are included. Also included the mini bar in your room however this is only restocked daily. The facilities are clean, the staff are friendly and always willing to help. The room was cleaned daily and the pool was cleaned every 2nd day. What I really appreciated was the pool cleaner asking me if I wanted to add chlorine to the pool. I opted to NOT add chlorine as the pool water flows over the infinity edge into the reef. Having the pool vacuumed every 2nd day was also not necessary but the staff were happy to assist and wanted to make sure you had a great stay. We visited Velifushi in April 2024 which was lovely weather around 32 Deg C. We had a few brief storms that lasted no more than 10 mins during the early hours of the morning but the daytimes were great weather. Highly recommend Velifushi to you.Guest review byPablo_123Australia - 10.0

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left they made us feel so welcome and so special. Everyone in the team just wanted to ensure that we had the best time. From the captain/boss Ahmed, to John the host, to Arbi and the waiters, the chef and through to all the guys on the boat. We got to know them all and felt like part of a family. I couldn’t recommend it enough and if we could afford to, we’d go back next week! If you want the bustle of a big resort, then maybe this is not for you, but if you want to be somewhere that celebrates the beauty of nature and all that the Maldives has to offer, with people who love to show that to you, then this is the place for you. We felt like we knew the whole team by the end, they were all so genuine and thoughtful and caring. We’ve seldom had such personal attentive service and we’ve stayed in many places around the world, and they made our 25th anniversary such a special evening. If you want beauty, nature, simplicity, comfort, good food, great service and fantastic adventures with amazing attention to detail then just book Thari Fushi. We miss you all!Guest review byAlexisUnited Kingdom - 8.0
The reef surrounding the island is simply amazing,...
The reef surrounding the island is simply amazing, particularly the exit next to the water villas (nr. 4) and the ones facing north-west (nr. 5 & 6). Just snorkeling we had the chance to see an incredible variety of fishes and corals, we also swam alongside a turtle and sharks a couple of times! Staff is great, always gentle, kind and willing to help and assist. The food is great both in quality and in variety of offer, we really enjoyed our full board selection. We particularly appreciated the lack of "holiday village entertainment" and the authentic look & feel of the island (preserved but not over constructed). The water villas should be refreshed - they are a gem but furniture is not well preserved and now quite old. Currently the villas have 3 kinds of roof, with different colors and some feature colored fabrics covering some pieces: it's a real pity as they do not look premium and ruin the overall scenery. I hope they are just temporary. Additionally, extra costs are quite a burden, as rates are high and you even need to pay for plain water even if on a full board service.Guest review bySarah MirneItaly - 8.0
You can have a good snorkeling and beach experience here.
You can have a good snorkeling and beach experience here. The islanders far outnumber the tourists. The island is generally quiet and clean but it does have a lot of modern infrastructure in a small area. We didn’t dive but there is a local dive shop. We also saw several live aboards anchored nearby so the diving must be good.Guest review byChristineCanada - 10.0

Beautiful resort connected to two islands with a 1 km wooden bridge on top of the sea. The water pool Villa was amazing and quiet. The sky at night had all the starts in view. The personnel of the hotel friendly and attentive, would say “hello” and “good morning” to everyone. There are golf buggies to take you from all the places of the islands you are (waiting time was 5 to 15 min max). They offered us bicycles to move around and the vegetation in the islands was lash and fantastic. The only thing I would suggest is more options of food items at the buffet, lunch/dinner. If I compare the buffet lunch/dinners at the Residence Zanzibar… it has a big difference.Guest review byElliGreece - 10.0
Perfect place for total relaxation.
Perfect place for total relaxation. Maybe a few more activities for the ‘oldies’ would be good. We loved the bingo and Kahootz but the party music wasn’t our style. Enjoyed the saxophone player and the Irish singer. During the day maybe trivia or games?Guest review byJulieanne
