- From US$641.06 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 90 reviewsThe snorkeling was the best we've ever done. I don't expect to have another experience like this again. Filitheyo has no motor boats or jet skis which means the fish are not startled and has incredible coral surrounding the island meaning for incredible snorkeling experience. We had a water villa for 10 days and so happy we did. Countless variety of fish constantly swimming about including dolphins. Meals were great from the main restaurant, lots of variety. Main bar was a great place to go prior to dinner. Outside of snorkeling our favourite place was the sunset bar and pool. Big thank you to Viraj, Faruk, Raj, Rubeun for amazing service, kindness and a welcoming friendly attitude to everyone who entered the Sunset Bar. Thank you to Kasheem who took care of our villa and Dain who multitasks front desk and our snorkeling guide. All staff were always willing to help. Recommend the BBQ. Even though we were all inclusive the BBQ was well worth the extra cost.Guest review byCameronSingapore
- From US$297.68 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 396 reviewsEverything. Perfect location to relax and destress and enjoy what Maldives can give/show you. From the welcome in the airport(Tharaka), also the warm welcome when we arrived in Plumeria. All the staff(reception, restaurant, housekeeping and excursions) were so nice and friendly. Island itself was a paradise, clean fine sand beach with rich coral reefs and fishes. Regarding bfast and dinner, they have extensive food choices everyday. Some days, they provide free activities for the guest. They also have excursion trips and a great dive shop with a knowlegeable instructor, Reece. Here, you can really see and feel that theyre passionate to provide great service for the guests with those little surprises, small gestures/gift.Guest review byKrista UPhilippines
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 159 reviewsWe loved everything, it is pure paradise. The room was very clean. Everybody leaves the slippers outside on this island, to prevent sand and dust on the floors. There is ocean view through the palm trees, it is just amazing. The property has a bikini beach in from, as it is located just near the bikini beach of this island. The water was warm shallow, fine sand before the reif started. You can see milions of colored marine life just near the shore in shallow water as the reif is everywhere. The nature is amazing everywhere. The restaurant offers nice food. We requested fresh fish from the ocean one day ahead for our meals. Weena and Fazlan made our stay just amazing, they were so kind and welcoming.Guest review byMonicaRomania
- From US$308.80 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 44 reviewsWe choose this resort due to the great house reef, which exceeded our expectations with its awesome marine life (turtles, sharks etc.).This place had everything we wanted of our holiday: air-conditioned rooms close to the beach, good breakfast, good cleaning, great swimming pool (though the reef.was more important to us), good gym and a professional diving center. This was our 2. holiday in Maldives, and this time we expecially enjoyed to be on a local island and learn to know the local people and culture. (First holiday was on a hotel resort island). Equator Village is great value for the money! Special thanks for the super-friendly staff!Guest review byHanna_R.Finland

- From US$2,348.78 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 341 reviewsThe hotel is amazing. We had a beach villa secluded by mangrove bushes. The beach from our side of the island was a great for swimming while the other side was good for snorkeling. Though the reef wasn’t colourful enough we could meet turtles and baby sharks near the dolphin villas. The food was awesome. And there is sand all around the island so you can walk everywhere barefoot.Guest review byDmitryRussia

Amazing location, cozy island villa with fantastic view outside, warm and professional service (housekeeper Ali was exceptionally caring), enough privacy for the overwhelmed mind which needs to be recharched. I am very grateful to the team for everything.Guest review byAlbinaUkraine
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 23 reviewsThe food was superb a lot of thought went into ensuring that different food was available throughout our time at the resort. I particularly liked the evening where staff from each country represented at the resort produced a meal from their country. The staff at the resort were very inclusive, it made you feel like one big family.Guest review byIanUnited Kingdom

I enjoyed pretty much everything.
I enjoyed pretty much everything. It was a super place to go for a one week holiday. You're a captivated audience on such a small island but there was more than enough to keep you occupied for the week. The food was excellent, the staff extremely supportive and I think that RIU have a near perfect arrangement for the 'all inclusive' experience.Guest review byStuartUnited Kingdom - 10

If you are on a budget, using the local ferry's are a big save in regards to travel and make Island hopping do able. They are 3 time the length of time, at 1 tenth of the price of a speedboat. We still enjoyed sitting out front and watching the dolphins swim with the boat. The trip back was empty and we chatted to the crew. (30 min speedboat vs 1h30 Ferry) The Ferry goes ever 2 days so we did the Maafushi to Fulidhoo, slept 2 nights then got onto it again from Thinadhoo. Two beautiful Islands.Guest review bymorneSouth Africa - 10
Amazing resort I would highly recommend.
Amazing resort I would highly recommend. This was our second stay at Kandima and our experience exceeded the first. Good selection of meals provided throughout the day and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Our shuttle bus driver Gasimm was very patient and informative on the ecosystem. Excellent facilities for children.Guest review byClarkeUnited Kingdom - 10
If you ever can go to Maldives, there is only one place:...
If you ever can go to Maldives, there is only one place: Madifushi Private Islands. It's a new heaven on earth, and the experience will blow you away. The activities, the SPA, the food, the staff, Sacha, the manager [Omar], the room service the views. I can't stop, honestly. Never been to a better place.Guest review byAllen O.United Kingdom - 10
Lovely island that can be walked around in 20-30 mins.
Lovely island that can be walked around in 20-30 mins. Great sandy beaches, beautiful crystal clear waters, plenty of sea life (fish, rays, turtles, reef sharks etc) that all can be observed from the beach or from your over-water bungalow. One side of the island looks out to open sea and the other side of the islands looks towards neighboring islands in the same atoll. The walk from the room to the reception area or the restaurant or the dive shop are all 5-10 mins (but some rooms are much closer to the facilities such as the beach bungalows). Our room was 501 which was one of the Pool Suites. There are 4 pool suites in total. Room 501 has access to the snorkeling reef and at low tide you can enjoy your own private swimming pool. The staff said that Room 501 was the best of the Pool Suites so ask for this room specifically. The restaurant has an amazing selection of food from many different cultures (Indian, Sri Lankan, Maldives, Japanese, Korean, western cuisine...) and always an abundance of fresh produce, fruits, salads. If you take up the All Inclusive dining package then all meals and drinks - even cocktails by the pool - are included. Also included the mini bar in your room however this is only restocked daily. The facilities are clean, the staff are friendly and always willing to help. The room was cleaned daily and the pool was cleaned every 2nd day. What I really appreciated was the pool cleaner asking me if I wanted to add chlorine to the pool. I opted to NOT add chlorine as the pool water flows over the infinity edge into the reef. Having the pool vacuumed every 2nd day was also not necessary but the staff were happy to assist and wanted to make sure you had a great stay. We visited Velifushi in April 2024 which was lovely weather around 32 Deg C. We had a few brief storms that lasted no more than 10 mins during the early hours of the morning but the daytimes were great weather. Highly recommend Velifushi to you.Guest review byPablo_123Australia - 10

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left they made us feel so welcome and so special. Everyone in the team just wanted to ensure that we had the best time. From the captain/boss Ahmed, to John the host, to Arbi and the waiters, the chef and through to all the guys on the boat. We got to know them all and felt like part of a family. I couldn’t recommend it enough and if we could afford to, we’d go back next week! If you want the bustle of a big resort, then maybe this is not for you, but if you want to be somewhere that celebrates the beauty of nature and all that the Maldives has to offer, with people who love to show that to you, then this is the place for you. We felt like we knew the whole team by the end, they were all so genuine and thoughtful and caring. We’ve seldom had such personal attentive service and we’ve stayed in many places around the world, and they made our 25th anniversary such a special evening. If you want beauty, nature, simplicity, comfort, good food, great service and fantastic adventures with amazing attention to detail then just book Thari Fushi. We miss you all!Guest review byAlexisUnited Kingdom - 8.0
The reef surrounding the island is simply amazing,...
The reef surrounding the island is simply amazing, particularly the exit next to the water villas (nr. 4) and the ones facing north-west (nr. 5 & 6). Just snorkeling we had the chance to see an incredible variety of fishes and corals, we also swam alongside a turtle and sharks a couple of times! Staff is great, always gentle, kind and willing to help and assist. The food is great both in quality and in variety of offer, we really enjoyed our full board selection. We particularly appreciated the lack of "holiday village entertainment" and the authentic look & feel of the island (preserved but not over constructed). The water villas should be refreshed - they are a gem but furniture is not well preserved and now quite old. Currently the villas have 3 kinds of roof, with different colors and some feature colored fabrics covering some pieces: it's a real pity as they do not look premium and ruin the overall scenery. I hope they are just temporary. Additionally, extra costs are quite a burden, as rates are high and you even need to pay for plain water even if on a full board service.Guest review bySarah MirneItaly - 8.0
You can have a good snorkeling and beach experience here.
You can have a good snorkeling and beach experience here. The islanders far outnumber the tourists. The island is generally quiet and clean but it does have a lot of modern infrastructure in a small area. We didn’t dive but there is a local dive shop. We also saw several live aboards anchored nearby so the diving must be good.Guest review byChristineCanada - 10

Beautiful resort connected to two islands with a 1 km wooden bridge on top of the sea. The water pool Villa was amazing and quiet. The sky at night had all the starts in view. The personnel of the hotel friendly and attentive, would say “hello” and “good morning” to everyone. There are golf buggies to take you from all the places of the islands you are (waiting time was 5 to 15 min max). They offered us bicycles to move around and the vegetation in the islands was lash and fantastic. The only thing I would suggest is more options of food items at the buffet, lunch/dinner. If I compare the buffet lunch/dinners at the Residence Zanzibar… it has a big difference.Guest review byElliGreece - 10
Perfect place for total relaxation.
Perfect place for total relaxation. Maybe a few more activities for the ‘oldies’ would be good. We loved the bingo and Kahootz but the party music wasn’t our style. Enjoyed the saxophone player and the Irish singer. During the day maybe trivia or games?Guest review byJulieanne
