First - there is an elevator, which is not always the case in small hotels, for example, in Paris. At the reception there was a wonderful man who spoke very good English but switched to Franch once he heard I've been trying to learn and don't get much practice speaking. He was super clear and friendly. The breakfast was simple and super tasty with sufficient verity. The location is a winner. Right in the center. Incredibly clean and well laid out. The trams are free to use. The city is very vibrant with lots of good restaurants and bars. It felt safe to walk around day and night. I wasnt there long, an overnight stop with a morning walk into the town. The petrol prices were pretty reasonable and there was a decent supermaket and mini mall at the bottom of the town. If staying for a short break I would probably get a hotel in Luxembourg City, as although all transport in the country is free its stops at 2300. The river is very scenic to walk along and sit by it and lots of history commentary along here too . Interesting with the fish sculptures along it. Luxembourg has so much to offer. Take advantage of the free transportation. You may have to rent a car to get to more remote locations; like Vianden Castle or Mullerthal.
