It was already our second stay here and we loved absolutely everything. And this despite the fact that it rained for most of our time there. Such a beautiful resort and really great value for money. All the dishes of all the meals were so delicious. The beach is just beautiful and all the palm trees and plants make it a wonderful place. And of course a huge shout out to all the incredible staff.

This is my second stay at this resort. The first time I was there with my ex, which kinda ruined that trip. This time I was with the person that cared about me and I cared about her. So the second time was the charm for me. Let me share our pros and cons about this place: PROs: - Really nice service. The staff goes an extra mile to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. - They have an amazing selection of drinks at their two bars. Also their food (aside from breakfast - see the cons) was very nice. They had a nice selection in their menu so you won't run out of options during your stay. - They have an ice-cream shop that serves amazing ice-cream and sherbets on the premises. That was a great addition to our stay during a 30C weather. - They have a very clean pool with nice lounges nearby. All in nicely shaded area, where you can order a cocktail or a snack right by the pool. - The ocean was amazingly clean. It didn't have a lot of sea weed, or garbage. And the sand was soft and pleasant for a walk or a morning/evening run/stroll. On top of that there weren't many beach boys to annoy you. There were some, but not that many. - They have an iPhone/Android app that has all the options needed for guests: from checking your balance, to giving you times when the food is served, to showing you the list of amenities, to giving you an ocean tide map. Very professional. I have never seen any other resort that had their own app. - We had a couple of massages at their spa. It was very relaxing and we liked it a lot. - They have a very nice gym on the premises. So you can work out if you want to stay in shape. They also have a yoga studio, if that's your thing. - They offer all kinds of extras: from scuba diving lessons to fishing, etc.

We originally booked this hotel just for a couple of days, planning to look for a seaside house in person. But from the moment we arrived, we were already impressed – everything looked just as beautiful as in the photos. The place is brand new, modern, and fully equipped with all the necessary appliances. The staff is very kind and welcoming. After checking other hotels by the sea, we realized they were quite old and worn out, so we decided to extend our stay here instead. A really wonderful place, highly recommended!

We absolutely loved our stay at Mzima. Hotel is located in a beautiful surroundings, right by the beach, rooms are spacious and nice, staff service is next level, you feel completely pampered every minute. The ladies at Mulberry Spa are magical. I would also highly recommend the Chef services, food is amazing and you get to eat in serene setting right by the beach!

Devine location, the stretch of beach at the location is picturesque! Very attentive staff you feel pampered the minute you walk in the facility. All rooms are spacious. All are beautifully and individually decorated meals are à la cart so it’s your slice of paradise at your pace. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Simon at breakfast made this feel special. He was very attentive and respectful. Zipporah and her team make sure you have the most wonderful time. We had dinner one night at the Ali Barbour cave restaurant which we were pleasantly surprised provided pick up to and from the hotel as a complimentary service With reservation ahead of time required.

I absolutely loved staying in this shipping container. It was super cute, spacious and everything you would need. The staff were amazing, friendly and always looking after you. Fantastic location and on the monkey "highway", meaning each day a large amount of monkeys would stop by on their travel route. It was amazing, I loved seeing them and they will come in your room and take any food so be sure to close your door. It was great seeing them and they are harmless.

    Excellent service, attention to detail, beautiful location. If you are happy with the pictures you see and the budget don't think twice and just book your stay at Ocean Village. The staff took care of everything we needed with care, attention to detail and a big smile. The property is stunning, the beach is clean, many activities and areas to explore, however you can spend every minute at the resort and enjoy the tranquility and nature. Highly recommended and we will be definitely coming back again.

    We used 4 of the cottages for our group of 10. The cottages were comfortable and in a great central location. The staff prepared breakfast early each day so that we could meet the scuba diving shop schedules which was very accommodating. The grocery store directly across the street had everything and there are 2 very good restaurants as well. Other restaurants are within walking distance or an inexpensive ($1-4) tuk tuk ride away.

    Everything was perfect. Beautiful beach, beautiful garden, lovely staff. Welcoming and smiling all the time. Breakfast was very tasty with fresh pancakes and omelette. We appreciated also the afternoon tea. If you are looking for a relaxing beach holiday, look no further. The value for money is also perfect to us, you could definetely not expect this standard for such money in Europe.

    Powdery white sand that is very easy to walk on. The reef about 500-600m offshore breaks the outer waves so inside the reef is moderately calm. Water shoes recommended due to sea urchins in some areas. A nice beach for walking, but you will be approached by vendors. A polite 'no' is usually sufficient. Several excellent places to eat along the stretch of beach where we stayed - Nomad's, Faulty's at the Flamboyant, Ali Barbour's Cave (reservation required), and Asha Boutique (Friday night beach buffet).

    Its a nice place with a beautiful beach with clear blue water. Water in the apartments are however salty, I assume its because of the beach surrounding the area. Food and activities are expensive around this area.

    Beautiful white sandy beaches and lovely place for snorkeling and other water activities. Everything you need closeby in the town of Diani or Ukunda. great restaurants all around with good food quality and taste. Friendly and helpfull people.

    The spirit at Kaya Kwetu is one of love and tranquility and, together with the constant sounds of the waves and the birds, feels a bit paradise-ish. Lindsay and her team are very attentive and helpful from first contact, special food requirements, transport options and late checkout. The creativity and vibe of the unique rooms has one transported into another world and it's all relaxation and connecting with nature. From the "jungle pool" to the beach walks and healthy meal options, a stay at Kaya feels like rejuvenation therapy :-)

    Perfect.

    Perfect. I wrote a previous outstanding review but Booking.com only posted my two comments from “suggested improvements”, which were inconsequential but gave a negative impression. The property was lovely, steps from an amazing white sandy beach fringed with coconut palms. I loved lolling on the comfy cushions on the roof terrace in the evenings. Cecilia who looked after us was amazing and a great cook. Her fish curries were to die for. The bed was comfy and the mosquito nets a great asset. The community pool was well maintained with a fabulous on site masseuse, Habiba. Amazing relaxing vacation would highly recommend.

    Ukunda is a great place to visit with family and also friends.The best place to watch the sunset on Kongo river and the beach is clean with white sand. We very much enjoyed each morning watching the monkeys jump around in the trees surrounding us Also amazing food at the estuary with very good price and friendly customer service. Overall : A beautiful 👌🏾 , friendly and peaceful place to be.

    amazing beach, white, clean most times, palm trees. exactly like in paradise, snorkelling, windsurfing, jetski, sand bank walks were available we ate mostly in the main restaurant of Neptune Palm Boutique and Spa. But I can also recommend Sands Nomad or Alibaba restaurant.

    Mostly private resorts however not far from Diani and accessible from Mombasa. The Likoni Ferry (which is the only way from Mombasa Island to the south) can take some time to cross- we took almost three hours when we first arrived.

    Diani beach is a great place to chill, relax, swim in warm ocean waters. Diani beach has a vibrant and eclectic nightlife , for those who want it. Getting around by tuk-tuk taxi is cheap and easy, the people are fab, But . . . don't go in May, or early June, it is very very rainy! December to March are best, Jan & Feb dryest by far. Enjoy.
