Great location right next to the train station (no noise though). A very new hotel with very comfortable beds and spacious rooms. We enjoyed some time in the onsen (hot bath) next door and also used the massage service there, which was excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff and easy access to the islands (which was why we were there). We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The property was gorgeous, so well designed with modern touches but a traditional feel. We stayed in both junior suites and the maisonette and all were beautifully designed and decorated. The maisonette was two floors so could be tough for older people. The staff was friendly and helpful and made our group feel so welcome and comfortable. The food was amazing and the chef was lovely, chatting with our group each night and kindly tweaking the menu whenever needed for the picky people in our group. I can see this ryokan becoming very quickly widely recognized for its outstanding quality, design, and service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Yoruya and I hope to stay here again someday.

I am super picky with hotels and govign reviews so here are some good tips for you. The location is super nice and you will love it. You have different views of greenary, sea, the city etc. The staff and service is very good and the staff are very supportive. The atmosphere is great and a light music is in the background and a nice perfume is within the floors. It's all clean and it offers a big space and area. There are various facilities to use and even a convinient store is very helpful with offering different stuff and also gifts and presents in case. There is business and trip office which you can buy tickets for city tour and fast ferry to travel to the neighborhood islands. The room was very big and I loved it. All facilities were provided like coffee, tea, water and it has freege, tea and coffee maker, TV etc. The view was extordinary and I loved it. I could see the ocean and the ferries pass by and the panorama was wonderful. The breakfast floor was just amazing and it made best memories for me from Hiroshima. The breakfast itself was pretty diverse and I loved it. Just addijgg some vegan stuff like various tofu and soy milk and products will be an adds on. Also tebfree shuttle to Hiroshima station go and back was very careful consideration and it's was very valuable and helpful. They did a very great job all the staff

Seamless check in and staff were extremely polite, as is expected of Japanese. You will need to pay for the booking as you arrive not when you check out. I was fine with that so no issues. View over the city was excellent and faced Hiroshima Castle side with perfect views. The TV does not have English programmes despite it saying you can watch CNN. Not a problem for me as I come on holiday to escape the TV. Room was cleaned daily and to a high standard. Location was central to everything and a short 5 minute walk to the Peace Park and A-Bomb Dome, which are well worth visiting for a day. Excellent hotel and would gladly return again. There is also a shop just to the right hand corner as you walk in through the main door, good value and convenient for a snack before bed or a drink, (alcohol sold as well).

Staff is great. They helped with sightseeing in Okayama, and even let me ship an urgent package from Amazon if I stayed another night. The amenities you get here are exceptional for the price you pay. Free popsicles and drinks, snacks for 10 yen, frozen omelette with rice or pasta for 100 yen. Free bicycle to ride around town which was very convenient to see the castle and museums. Free pastries for breakfast. The room is clean and good. Overall I had a great stay. This isn't an ordinary Japanese business hotel.

We had a very nice stay at Kurashiki Ivy Square. The room was well appointed, had a kettle and soaps and shampoos. There are three self serve washing machines that you can use for about $5 a load - bearing warned that washing and drying a load will take 2 hours. The staff is very accommodating and you are right in the middle of everything. A lovely town.

It isn’t a typical tourist destination from my understanding but the gardens by night are absolutely stunning. The casual is also beautiful and I’m sad to have missed the pottery class. Food and bars also exceptional - everybody is particularly friendly, and perhaps less used to accommodating tourists. Coffee: Empire coffee roasters. Friendly service and outstanding coffee. Food: Hidaya Yanigamachi. Grill your own delicious meat. Drink: ichigin. Super friendly and will involve you in conversations even if you don’t speak Japanese.

We stayed here rather than on Naoshima island and took the short ferry across to the island. When we planned our trip, I had not factored in that many of the museums on the island were closed on a Monday and that some had to be booked for the Sunday. The benefit is that the onsen next to the Uno hotel is wonderful. You can be outside in one of the outside baths and at night gaze at the stars. We had a massage and a Japanese meal in the onsen and ambled happily back to the hotel. We delayed our planned departure to go the next morning after we had checked out of the hotel. We did not really explore the town itself but had a lovely meal in a restaurant close to the ferry building, overlooking the park and shopped in the big stores near the station.
