Exceptional hotel bursting with history. Beautiful and simply renovated. From the moment we arrived we were treated with warmth and professionalism. We enjoyed a fabulous cooking masterclass; archery; swimming in the pool; high tea; delicious roof top dinner; and even a hit of cricket with the staff. The room was very spacious and comfortable and it was fascinating watching the villagers below from our window. A real highlight of our journey through Rajasthan.

    It is a former maharajah's palace from the 18th century. The splendour of bygone days is still palpable. The whole complex is very spacious, sumptuously furnished and like an oasis in the hustle and bustle of the hectic city. The staff is very friendly, courteous and helpful (for example, they organised train tickets for us, which is quite a difficult task in India). The whole hotel exudes the charm of an old grand hotel, you feel a bit transported back to a bygone era. The rooms are spacious, the breakfast is rich (you choose à la carte, there is no buffet, which we found very pleasant). The pool is located in a small courtyard, where you are mostly alone. The hotel is very centrally located in the centre of Jaipur; for example, the City Palace is only about ten minutes away by taxi. We can fully recommend this hotel. Despite its size, its history and heritage make it a far more individual travel experience than comparable hotels in this price range from larger hotel chains.

    I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. For all the time traveling in India, this is one of the best hotels we have met. We were pleasantly surprised by the service, starting from how we were greeted at the gate, ending with the moment of departure. Beautiful rooms, well-designed interior. Clean bed linen and towels. Wonderful rooftop restaurant. The breakfasts are very tasty in buffet style. Clean pool. Right at the hotel, they offered to organize a sightseeing tour for us on excellent terms. We definitely recommend you to visit!

    The hotel is located in a famous neighborhood in Jaipur. It is one of the most beautiful heritage hotels in Jaipur. Everything is exceptionally clean - rooms, pool, garden. The yard has well-kept plants, it is full of birds and squirrels, you wake up in silence in the morning, you go to sleep with birds chirping. The stay seems unreal - you will have the feeling that you are in the past, and that you are somewhere in nature. The pool has a pleasant water temperature, comfortable loungers.

    I last stayed at the Samode Palace over 20 years ago and it's just as magica nowl, if not more. The hotel has evolved with excellent rooms, beautiful restaurant and magical pools, the 'new' roof top infinity pool particularly great. Staff are very attentive. This is the real deal Palace hotel with exceptional Durbar Hall and other beautiful, original Palace rooms. Just amazing..!

    Jaipur is an amazing place to shop for textiles, blue pottery wares, jewellery and the Pink City architecture but Best part for me is getting out to Amer village to enjoy Amber Palace and Jaigarh Fort, and walks in Amer Village, its ancient step well and elephant sanctuary.

    Kanota itself is a busy town by the main highway.

    Kanota itself is a busy town by the main highway. It is a fair drive (45 mins) from the major Jaipur sightseeing spots. There is a supermarket, liquor shop & many small shops a short walk from the hotel. We saw no other tourists during our stay & were quite an oddity for the locals! There may be local sights to visit but they were not advertised / sign posted & we never found them. In hindsight, we would have been better to stay the extra 2 nights in Jaipur itself.

    Parking near Choki Dhani is a real challenge with limited assistance from the management. The city itself feels bustling, but kudos to the traffic police for keeping things moving smoothly! Forts are pretty clean and well managed.

    Exceptional location and beautiful property. It was a short (4hr) drive from delhi and easy to reach. We got upgraded to a gorgeous room overlooking the main courtyard, where sunrise and sunsets were to die for! Very clean rooms with excellent hygiene and covid precautions in place. The staff were extremely warm, very kind and took great care of our every need. They would even be generous enough to reserve our favourite spot at the restaurant without asking. Food was good but could’ve been slightly better. Overall a really great experience! Would definitely recommend it for luxurious getaways off the beaten track!
