- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 43 reviewsBallynahinch is the real deal! We, as visitors, really wanted to treat ourselves to a stay at a "Castle Hotel", and we truly had a wonderful stay. Just fantastic. I would go again in a heartbeat. In contrast, we stayed at an unrelated castle hotel very near Donegal Town, at about the same price point, and it was disappointing. That other place was basically just a large quite generic hotel with a fancy old-looking stone facade and fountain out front. Pretty fake. No comparison. Ballynahinch is the gold standard! In fact, it was the best single element of our 15-day Irish holiday.Guest review byPaulUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 356 reviewsWhat a gem! After several days of traveling, this place was the perfect spot to unwind and treat ourselves. From the spacious room to the lovely patio and the exquisite restaurant, everything was wonderful. The house itself is steeped in history and offers much to explore. The staff were exceptionally friendly and we really appreciated the manager's offer to lend us a charging cable for our car.Guest review byTinaAustria
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 186 reviewsScreebe House is right on the water in a very quiet remote area. It was so very peaceful. The dinner was absolutely superb in every way from presentation to delectable taste. The breakfast was without a doubt unforgettable in that the croissant just melted in your mouth, and the orange juice was freshly squeezed. The staff was also so accommodating, personal touches!Guest review byPatriciaUnited States

This is just the loveliest place to visit and stay a while.
This is just the loveliest place to visit and stay a while. The tourist office will guide you to great things to do! Guys on the Main Street is a good choice for eating. There are many restaurants to choice from. It’s easy to walk around the town and window shop. And if you can visit whilst the arts festival is on, that’s even better! You’ll want to return…Guest review byAnonymous - 10
Really good value.
Really good value. Great location for exploring beautiful area. The dorm is really low priced but clean and comfy with room to store possessions. Kitchen rather under-equipped especially in terms of saucepan provision.Guest review byJenniferUnited Kingdom - 10

It is a beautiful village on what feels like the edge of the world, surrounded by beautiful beaches, wonderful nature colours in a perfect setting. Perfect for group, family or solo trips. Great variety of pubs and eating choices in Roundstone village itself. I will be back for another visit and I will recommend to my friends too. Its a long drive over from Dublin but 100% worth itGuest review byAdrienneIreland - 10

Renvyle is a really nice place to stay, with space to take time on-premises, but also in the heart of Connemara from which to explore the beaches, towns and countryside. The staff are very helpful and the hotel provides good food in both the pub and restaurant.Guest review byRayIreland - 10
Very small location, but very picturesque.
Very small location, but very picturesque. Ideally located to explore the surrounding area, including Clifden and Connemara National Park. Due to size of location only a small amount of local amenities but still very good quality.Guest review byRoisinUnited Kingdom - 10
Loved Bun An Coirin. Quiet, peaceful and close to walks.
Loved Bun An Coirin. Quiet, peaceful and close to walks. This was a self catering cottage . We loved making our own meals. There was a lovely little bakery where we bought a selection of breads, all very yummy. We found a couple of nice cafes in Cong, not too far from Clonbur that served delicious coffee and scones. There is an easy walk from Chonbur to Cong.Guest review byCollette - 8.0

Located in a cute little town, with a FANTABULOUS bakery...reminded us of the former quaint Door County,USA. So good to be able to shop small, independently run/owned shops. Walshes Bakery and the Little Tin Shop were highlights. Also enjoyed dinner (MUSSELS) at Mannion's. Unfortunately, due to weather and schedule, we were unable to explore further. If not so far away, would definielty visit again!Guest review byAnonymous
