We also had the chance to dine during one of the theme nights with traditional balinese dancers. That was well worth it! If you love nature and luxury simultaneously, this is the place to stay. Traffic in Ubud is worse towards the evening, Govt really should plan for any bye-pass to those travellers who are passing through only. We had food in few places where veg food was available. Getting around by Bike Taxi is the best way and it should be promoted actively by Govt. Visited Tirtha Empul temple, and next time would plan for Mt Batur. Monkey forest is waste of time but gain good amount of Oxygen. Balinese house visit is typical, some knowledge gain and some money drain to buy / drink the coffee. The beautiful areas of Sukawati require a car/driver. We went to the art market which was nice, but you could get this art anywhere in Bali for the same price. I hadn't been before and wouldn't stay here again, it's a bit 'commercial' and not tailored to tourists. From the moment I arrived l felt very welcomed by the owners & staff who made me feel like part of the family knowing l was travelling alone. My villa had a private garden & verandah with my own pond with fish & a waterfall. Such a peaceful & beautifully spacious room serviced daily. The organic food & drinks were delicious & the house frozen margarita became a daily treat for me. Prices were so inexpensive so l could indulge. The staff are always smiling & laughing as this boutique resort is a place they love to be also . The views are breathtaking & the peace it brought me filled my heart with such joy.
