People did not really know about Sanur, when talking about Bali. This resorts and it's location really were ideal if you are not looking for an over busy and commercialized stay. If Kuta, Legian, Seminyak or Dusa Nua are for you, this resort is not. The location was very central to access to Ubud and also to Kuta and surrounding areas. If you want a beautiful resort away from alot of a busy city, this is it. It is super relaxing and walking distance to many shops and restaurants, while not being overly commercial. Shops and many services are close by. Lots of choices for massages and getting your nails done. I would suggest checking out the nail polish selection and services closely in the area. The Hyatt Regency hotel, gardens, grounds and path and beach directly in front are absolutely beautiful and well maintained. Cant fault that at all. Great city to explore... wish we would have had more time to look around. Everyone we met or talked to were very friendly and kind. Highly recommend. Denpasar is often overlooked and yet has so much to offer. There is history, culture, good food and places with open space, great views and room to walk if you know where to look. It's also a great base from which you can visit other areas and enjoy unique experiences with little travel time. I found Sanur to be a quiet and relaxing place. It had more of a chilled and relaxed vibe by the beach (not on the roads). Restaurants and warungs were easily accessible and we were spoilt for choice. Absolutely loved Denpasar, you felt that you were amongst the local of Bali and it was nice to see this part of Bali.
