Staff was very attentive and friendly. They gave excellent advice about navigation around the park for the amount of time we had to spend. Food was delicious, especially the trout! Durian was so kind and went extra mile to make our stay an unforgettable experience. She makes sure everything is taken care of and the experience was better than our expectations. We will return her kindness if she visits us in Singapore in future. On the hotel, the room is perfect, the shower temperature is easy to control, the water pressure is great , the room has heater as well and the WiFi is good. The bed is the most comfortable by far for us travelling in the Balkan states. The breakfast is superb and you can choose how you like the eggs to be done.

Our host was excellent and so very friendly and welcoming offering a Croatian schnapps ( Raika not sure of the spelling) as an aperitif. The food was excellent and the wine delicious. Breakfast was wholesome and varied. An excellent a delightful stay and THE perfect location for visiting Plitvice lakes and waterfalls being so close to entrance 1

    This was hands down our favorite place we stayed in Croatia. It is literally right beside the best, most convenient and connected park entrance for all the trails. Also, the owners were personable and beyond helpful. Easy parking too. We ate breakfast and dinner there. Yes, it's pricey (€20 breakfast/ €32 dinner pp), but it was all abundant and delicious with great service and no need to drive down the mountain. For us, it was absolutely worth it.

    The only negative was the Property description, indicating that the lakes are a 15 minute walk from the Villa. This should read that it is a 15 minutes walk to the entrance of the woods, after which there is about a 2km walk to Plitvice Lake Entrance 2 where you buy your tickets!

    The B&B Plitvica Hill was great.

    The B&B Plitvica Hill was great. The owner was there to answer any questions and help you get settled in. The room are all new and very well set up. The beds were great. My wife and I would sleep to much.

    This is a great place to base yourself when visiting the Plitvice NP. We only did a one night stay on transit between Zagreb and Zadar. There are lots of different sights to see, so wish we had a few days. There are caves and more waterfalls to see outside the National Park. The main township was much bigger than we expected. Amazing area. We ate at the family owned restaurant in a big orange building on the Eastern edge of Korenica, Restaurant Sapena. Fabulous grilled trout, and the best grilled meat platter ever.

    We were there in April and went just for Plitvic lakes, it was quite cold in the morning & evening, glad we had our puffer jackets. An absolute bonus was the gorgeous little village of Rastoke, stunning and the best food of our entire 2 weeks in Croatia.

    Plivice Lakes National Park is a must see.

    Plivice Lakes National Park is a must see. Natural beauty takes your breath away. It was the higlight of our tour, because we have never seen a reserve like this. Jezerce is only 5-10 minutes drive from on of the entrances to the park. Jezerce itself is beautiful and reminiscent of the Swiss Alps.

    Stayed for 1 night whilst passing through. Few nice little bars and churches. Struggled to find anywhere to eat that wasn’t fast food. Managed to find 1 restaurant which had home cooked food which was good.

    If you are looking for beautiful valley scenery and as a base for Plitvice and Velebit then it is ideal. The area is good value for money and Otocac itself has a good choice of grocery stores, bars and bakeries. The restaurant choice is a bit limited, with most places doing a very similar menu, so for longer stays this could be an issue.

    I think this place for relaxing like our Carpathians in Ukraine. Calm, nature, views and just you (at least in the evening). I stayed for one night because visited Plitvice lakes. For that trip in my opinion this place not very suitable - 8km from the park. You can get there just by car or taxi. There is no public transport or I don’t know about it. Although I enjoyed my stay.

    Wonderful place!

    Wonderful place! Close to Plitvica Jezera and to Bosna, you can reach a long list of beautiful towns and natural sites in a short time driving, both in Hrvatska and Bosna. The village is small and quiet with gourgeous natural areas all around (not only Plitvice or Una river Narodni Park...). An excellent choice, highly recommended!

    The Plitvice Lakes National Park is an amazing natural wonder. We walked part of the E route and all of the F route. We accessed this from Entrance #2. Each route was very well signed. We highly recommend making a full day stop here and staying at a B&B close by.
