We loved spending 6 nights in Paros. We rented a car. It was stick shift. A tad scary for me. But it was doable. Paros has great beach clubs. My daughters booked horse riding one day and then walked to the nearby town. After we met at a great beach club, we had lots of great dinners and sunsets. Fabulous shops. We drove to Leifros one day. We like Paros best. Taxis were outside the hotel. Also there was a transport office two doors up that arranged rides to beach club for us and picked us up. The town is really nice.
The town is really nice. It has a little of everything you would need for a getaway on a Greek island. The grocery store is nearby, public transit terminal is located here so access to the rest of the island is possible and easy. There are a number of little restaurants, cafes and shops you can look through and enjoy. I wish we had more time to spend and walk through the town but the time we spent was great. There is a small park by the bus stop if you have kids and want to entertain them for a bit. A beautiful location. 4 main restaurants by the marina plus a Japanese restaurant. We tried them all. and all were great. The couple of cafes there were great too for breakfast and lunch. Also for drinks. Remezzo even did Sangria which i couldn't find anywhere else! We walked down to cactus beach and had a sun lounger which was quite expensive 50 Euros. We had lunch at Cactus and that was great. Near cactus on the hill is a restaurant called Mango, please visit everything is freshly made even the ice cream. For a relaxed stay without lots of tourists, this is a good place. You will have to take a bus ride (1 hour) or drive from the main port in Paros to get to this less visited part of the island. Breakfast and staff are superb. Easy to get to restaurants at Pounta and only 7min to Alyki. Easy to get to Paroikia and to beaches near Noussa. Watching sunsets with Antiparos in view too is magnificent! Only 3min from Pounta ferry to cross to Antiparos. 35min with Paroikia traffic to get to Noussa beaches.
