- From $112.47 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 669 reviewsMost beautiful garden I've ever been in (not that I've been in many, but still). Guests can take their breakfast there and have it in the garden. View of the garden and the sea from the rooms is amazing. Very big and clean rooms. Nice breakfast offering. The entire hotel, with reception, rooms, garden, is really beautiful. They also give you mosquito repellent for the room. Super kind and helpful personnel/owners.Guest review byMilicaSwitzerland

The location has a stunning view of the sea, sunset, quiet, wonderful pool area to relax in. The meals were just delicious, it felt like a home away from home. The owner was so helpful to ensure every aspect of my stay was taken care of including getting to and from different parts of the island. Just loved Ela Mesa!!!Guest review byDeborahCanada

The hotel itself has a very good restaurant. The Private area on the public beach 1 minute walk was the highlight as we enjoyed the place and spent most of the time on the beach. The staff and and owner were exceptionally nice and friendly. Will recommend this place and hope to come back again soon!Guest review byמויאלIsrael

We stayed in the very comfortable harbor area of Aegina Town. Just a 40-minute ferry from Athens' Pireaus port. Ancient sites to visit. Lots of harbor restaurants for beverages and dining. A relaxing way to settle in from international travel before our extended tour of Athens and the Peloponnese tour. Would have been a great wind-down stay afterward too.Guest review byPaulUnited States - 8.0

The beach is the longest sandy beach on Aegina which is predominately lovely sand there are some mixed stones and sand at the far but nothing to bad. The water is shallow and mainly calm wit a big sand bar a few meters out I would say very safe for children The sunbed range in quality and price ranging from 20 euros a set with parasol to 12 euros which obviously also is based on location and convenience to the beach bars and taverna's. Some beds are free if you spend money in the taverna's We loved the beach and clear warm warms that September bringsGuest review byMichael MawsonUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Souvala is quieter than Aegina Town but that is not a bad...
Souvala is quieter than Aegina Town but that is not a bad thing. It is more laid back. It has some good tavernas, bars and restaurants. The souvlaki at Theophilos is to die for. With a Greek salad and a small Carafe of wine , two Souvlakis 17 Euros. That's great. There us a,small beach near the small harbour. There is also a another beach slightly out of the town which in high season has sunbeds and a bar. Just a short walk.. Souvala has a good Supermarket Bakery and some other little shops too. Lovely little place. And 15 mins by taxi to.Aegina,Town .Guest review byRosalindUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Like mentioned, 17 days were too long.
Like mentioned, 17 days were too long. But with a car it made a difference. My daughters boys are not young children, they are super active 17 and 14 year old teenagers and the activities my daughter and them did around the island is mindboggling. Snorkeling, scuba diving, renting bikes going all over the island. Climbing the highest point in Moni Island and jumping off cliffs. I am sure they know the island better then a lot of locals. We live in Cape Town, SA and are spoiled by unbelievable scenery, so its often hard not to compare. The time of year we chose was great. Warm nights, hot days and the water amazingly warm.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

It was a quaint place with a nice vibe for walking around at night , especially near the sea at night . There are also some amazing historical sites to visit as-well . If you're looking for a peaceful place to relax and explore , thus is a great place.Guest review bysardar - 6.0
Public transport on the island is not great so personal...
Public transport on the island is not great so personal transport is required. You can see all you need to in 24-48 hours. I’m glad I visited but I didn’t find anything to make me want to return. My travel companion is vegan and it was very difficult to find vegan options on menus, and none that contained vegan protein in the many restaurants in Aegina or Perdika which we also visited.Guest review byDeirdreIreland - 10.0

Great city with very nice and inviting streets to browse around, shop, lunch/dinner places. Aegina has also a very pittoresk port area with lots of opportunities having a drink and enjoying the view to the fishing boats and yachts. Aegina Stadt is also a great place to start excursions by scooter, car or by feet.Guest review byPetraGermany - 10.0
Agia Marina is great.
Agia Marina is great. I have been there many times and will go back next year. Nikos beach bar is the best place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are many places to eat and drink. We weren't looking for nightlife so I have no idea about what is available but the bars were very nice. The sandy beach is lovely and the water is shallow for a long way out so great for children. There are well stocked supermarkets, a great pharmacy and a lovely bakery. Basically everything you need for a simple beach holiday. People are very friendly. A trip to the Temple of Aphaia is highly recommended. You CAN walk (we did) but I wouldn't recommend it if you are not used to really steep hill walking. Taxis and buses will take you there. We always enjoy our stay in Agia Marina and will keep going back.Guest review byCassiGreece
