The hotel is clean and quite 'glitzy' and clearly bulit to accommodate many more guest than it was doing when we were there. It was spacious! Google maps did not take us the right way... So you will need to use Maps Me or intuition to find it as it is in a large Soviet block estate. Or if you're coming from the south with the spa baths park on your left, turn right after the police station, go to the top of a small hill and turn left. Drive alongside a wall, and then left again into the car park at the front of the hotel. The whole experience of this hotel was a tad quirky .. In a good way Breakfast was good. The breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay, we got to try many Georgian foods. There was a huge variety and everything was delicious. They even made us some food for the road for our trip to Batumi. The rooms were clean with comfortable beds, and the view from the terrace is spectacular. Also, the host makes cognac and wine, I recommend trying both, they're great. They also helped us find a driver to Batumi for a really competitive price. We even had the option to upgrade our room for free when a bigger room became available. Place are “tired” and outdated. Beds are not comfortable. There’s no actual full bed but 2 single beds put together- very uncomfortable. The size of the room is fine though. The balcony is nice too, but there was no outside furniture (!) and not enough pillows and towels for all of us (although were delivered the next day upon request). The hotel staff are nice, trying their best to please, but the place itself is very basic. Parking is crowded. It’s so nice city , especially in the night with a lights and the streets were have a lot of restaurants and cafes and many gardens were nice too … and the fountain in the center of the city it was so so nice.. This town is the local capital of spa centres. I recommend this impressive town to the lovers of old Stalin-era architecture and Georgian spa procedures. Plus, there are several abandoned spa resorts built in the 1950s.
