- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 781 reviewsBooked to see concert at Open Air Theatre and to spend weekend at Scarborough. Venue was just a minute walk away from The Sands. Accommodation was on the beach so we just walked on to beach for a swim from the Apartment block. 5+ star quality. High tech security. Welcome Hamper awaited us with milk, tea and biscuits, packet of crisps, mini bottle of wine, beer and even sparkling water. Staff were really caring and friendly. I had a fall while walking, so they even provided me with bandage dressing and plasters. Apartment had all mod cons you can think of. Very tastefully furnished. Even Netflix on HD TV. Everything was perfect!Guest review bygerryUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 197 reviewsThis was a beautiful gem of a place the location was amazing to use as a base to explore what Yorkshire has to offer. The lodge was clean and beautifully decorated and had a comfortable homely feeling to it making it easy to instantly relax into the peace and quiet. The extra touches that I asked for for my partner's 40th birthday (banners, cake, mulled wine and a box of chocolates) were excellent quality and a lovely surprise for my partner walking in.Guest review byHelenUnited Kingdom

Scarborough has long been an attractive option for a...
Scarborough has long been an attractive option for a Yorkshire seaside break. It has suffered like many seaside town from the flight from UK holidays to cheap flights abroad. It is still a great family resort, with strong natural features, including the beaches and coastal gardens, and the castle. It s cultural offer is improving all the time. The Spa puts on some great events and the Stephen Joseph Theatre is a real gem with a great range of theatre productions, film and other events. The town centre continues to receive investment which will only bring more into the town as will the Scarborough Fair programme of off season activities that has just started.Guest review byMelvynUnited Kingdom - 10.0

What a beautiful town. Loved the cathedral. The little quaint street with all the unusual shops was a delight. And plenty of places to eat. The river walk is delightful with all the splendid little ducks.Guest review byJANEUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Well what can I say an absolute little jewel of a town.
Well what can I say an absolute little jewel of a town. Plenty to see from the town square and high street. Down to the river walks, The Lady Chapel, The Castle. River boats (but only till October) Mother Shipton's Cave. Got to mention the very quaint and beautiful railway station. It is quite hilly but with patience and care it can be got around we are in our late 60's and we managed. Watch out for the blue plaques on the historical buildings reading them is a real eye opener. Plenty of pubs to choose from but the Worlds End Pub has to be our favourite. The food there was very reasonably priced. Portion size is very generous and well presented and the staff are lovely nice place to take a break.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 10.0

thirsk is not the biggest of places but it was very nice, only thing is, if you need a taxi, regardless if their is racing on or not, you cannot get one, it seems that the odd individual people have one car and thats it, there's no taxi company as such and its pot luck if you manage to get one.Guest review byjanetUnited Kingdom - 8.0

To be fair Storm Amy had began and the amount of road works between Wistow and Drax was an unexpected hindrance. Although Selby Abbey brought back memories of a wedding we attended some years back. Overall it appears to be a nice and safe looking place to reside in.Guest review byColinUnited Kingdom - 10.0
