- From US$113.23 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 2,421 reviewsIt’s a fabulous location with a very attractive little village full of craft shops, a lovely cafe snd lots of different food options. The staff were eindrf - and their ability to cope with a huge fall of snow - despite some staff not being able to get home or into work at the shift change - was absolutely exemplary. They also went above and beyond to help guests who needed to leave to get away safely. Bravo!Guest review byRuthSwitzerland
- From US$153.07 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 12,858 reviewsSuper clean and easy to check in online, also complimentary transport was brilliant in the morning to the terminal. I was supervised with the fact how quiet it was there and after closing the curtains it was pitch black so we had a great sleep before the early flight. Facilities more than expected - tea and coffee available and even iron as well. I am truly impressed and one day will come back !Guest review byAgnieszkaPoland

The Science and Industry Museum and the Art Gallery are...
The Science and Industry Museum and the Art Gallery are worth a visit. There are surprising pockets of history like Castlefield and Deansgate but they are hidden and need to be discovered. But overall the city is a hodge-podge of bad architecture including a lot of new tall towers placed senselessly throughout the city. The Chapel Street where the hotel is located is visually depressing - rundown buildings and dirty lanes wherever one looks. Obviously there seemed to be no city planning vision and willingness to keep the city clean. Streets are dirty, garbage all over especially in side streets and along the canals. Eating out is expensive for this type of city and 10 - 12.5% service charge is common. Trains station and airport are outdated and not up to snuff. But that is the reason for travelling to experience the unknown.Guest review byLotharCanada - 10
Perfect place to stay when on an early flight.
Perfect place to stay when on an early flight. Warm welcome and really helpful staff. Evening meal was lovely and hot. We were up super early and there was already a continental option breakfast waiting to help yourself. Hot and cold drinks and everything was fresh. Thanks for the great start to our holiday.Guest review byalibongo79United Kingdom - 8.0

The Market Hall shops were great to go round. Outside a lot of empty shops which is a sign of the times. We were at an event at the Victoria Hall which is a lovely building. Lots of public transport with buses and taxis every few minutes.Guest review byTonyUnited Kingdom - 2.0

I missed my flight from Heathrow informed them that I am not coming today but will be there tomorrow morning. When we get there receptionist was busy on the phone and she knows we are standing there. She was on mobile not the hotel phone. Then one of the staff was watching also this and she came to the desk and tell her that customers are waiting Rather Appologising or saying hello She just asked what is the guest name Which I tell her she took the payment and gave is keys. When we went in room there was no milk and water which is complementary. Rang at reception no one turns up. Later we left as visiting family friends and came late night. Next day morning I rang and they provide us just milk but no water. They price we paid and the picture and facilities they are showing is completely differentGuest review byshaukatUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Stockport´s location in a ravine with a Victorian viaduct towering overhead makes for a very unusual and intriguing town. Also most interesting are the timber frame houses one finds from Tudor times. Lots of pubs and not generic ones either.Guest review byDominic - 8.0
