Perfect place to visit for a short break, or a stopping off point if travelling further. Plenty of places to eat and drink, new and quirky places. Visit the Zoo, Cathedral, walk the City walls, highly recommended for all the family.Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0
The Dog and Partridge is near to the hotel. Bonus.
The Dog and Partridge is near to the hotel. Bonus. External appearance of Paddington Hotel could be so much improved by some simple gardening. Some easy jet-washing would improve the external walls and general appearance. My stay was a mere 'ok'. I just happened to be in Warrington that night. Customer service was adequate, but below average. My room was functional and everything worked. It gets an 'OK' from me, but I wouldn't take my better half there for all the tea in China!Guest review byBishop - 10
I went to Crewe to see the local area.
I went to Crewe to see the local area. I visited Nantwich and Sandbach. Nantwich is a lovely small town, and Sandbach is a bit bigger, both lovely to visit. The Market in Nantwich is lovely to visit, and there are a couple of National Trust places we didn't have enough time to visit, but we will do next time.Guest review byTessUnited Kingdom - 10

A very convenient location for visiting some great National Trust properties which we had never visited (Dunham Massey, Tatton, Lyme). We enjoyed Knutsford also, eating in the hotel and a variety of restaurants in the town.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 10

There is quite a range of shops along the high street; the surrounding houses and streets are leafy and pleasant. I found a cafe for coffee / cake / light lunch and the staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and friendly. There is quite a lot of traffic which drives through. There are great activities though as I was visiting family I did not wish to pursue them - there seem to be bowls [on a crown green - not ten pin], golf, plenty of Churches. Quarry Bank Mill [NT] is close by.Guest review byJudithUnited Kingdom - 10

Only a short break primarily to visit the Quarry Bank Museum of the Cotton Industry at Styal (which was superb). Alderley Edge itself was an eye opener with an stream of Ferraris, Rolls Royces and Range Rovers stopping by th echip shop (really!). The estate agents window prices gave us something to aspire to....... All in all a nice place, if only we could live there!Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Ours was just a short trip but we really enjoyed the village, its shops and bar/ restaurants. Everyone had their own preferences but I thought that the village and especially Stay met all our expectations and we would both happily recommend it to family and friends.Guest review byGeorgeUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Runcorn is beautiful and we came to visit relatives.
Runcorn is beautiful and we came to visit relatives. But our stay at the hotel wasn’t worth it. It was old and needs overall revamping. Reception staff was nice but the room was so tiny with AC not working and bed was so uncomfortable. Wouldn’t stay at this property again.Guest review byviji - 10
Steeped in history and absolutely lovely friendly locals👍.
Steeped in history and absolutely lovely friendly locals👍. Came to the area for a friend’s wedding which was at the town hall, and as self catering didn’t really eat out much as only stayed a few days. Would love to come back and use as a base for more exploring of the area.Guest review bySoniaUnited Kingdom
