La Licorne was a marvelous discovery, it only opened this year and everything was perfect and very stylish. The location, between the Cathedral and old town, couldn't be better. We enjoyed a relaxing swim in the pool and only wish we could stay longer!

The hotel is in a great quiet location and our room (51) was just recently refurbished so was like new. It had all the facilities and was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was well appointed and had a very large shower. The bed was super comfy with quality bedding. All the staff were super friendly and also helped us find a place to eat in the evening.

This has been the best hotel we have stayed in on this holiday. We were planning to go to the best Western in the middle of Reims *La Paix) but once parking had been added on, it was too expensive. The Golden Tulip is one year old so everything is exceptionally clean, fresh and unmarked. The room we got was a suite. It had a sub-divided section and access to an outside deck (so important for smokers). The parking was free. The breakfast excellent. The woman at the front desk very helpful (I was very low on fuel and I needed a close petrol station which in France, on a sunday, can be tricky to find. WE had had a bad night previously so this place was an enormous relief.

The location of the hotel was excellent. We were very close to the town center with the beautiful cathedral, restaurants, tourist information, and also close to a number of different champagne vineyards. Rooms were very comfortable and staff was very pleasant. We had to pay for street parking via the Easypark app, but it was very easy to do, and not expensive at all.

I love everything about this place. From the moment I stepped in, everything was awesome until the moment I checked out. I will definitely return. It is whimsical, romantic and beautiful. Also, the breakfast service was lovely, each room had its own table set out in the breakfast area and the food and drinks are well-prepared. Everything was immaculate.

Really nice place on the crossroads from all the best champagne houses around. You can order electric bikes to be delivered to the property to enjoy the views and champagne vineyards. Nice staff! Beware that if you come by electric car, the charging pole is out of order. However, uber works there. Also the vineyard view is questionable :)

An extraordinary town overflowing with mediaeval buildings so very picturesque. Many bars and restaurants. A fabulous Musee d'Art Moderne, unexpectedly good! Cite of Stained Glass, housed in a beautiful building was also very enjoyable. All in close proximity to the amazing cathedral.

Lots of great Champagne houses to visit, large and small. Some require reservations, but many, especially smaller ones, are good for dropping in on, and have a tasting and a chat on the history of the house, champagne production process, and just good old small talk.. Very lovely town, not too big to be overwhelming, not too small to get boring quickly, just right. If you have a car, 3-4 full days can be easily filled with fun activities, all within either 20 min walking, or 20 min driving (some gorgeous vistas not to be missed)

It is a quiet village but has a large number of small champagne houses offering tasting opportunities. It does not have a large selection of restaurants but does have a great delicatessen offering sharing platters and great wine. You can easily walk to Épernay and there is a train service to Reims. So a great location to explore the champagne region

Les Riceys is actually a group of three small villages...

Les Riceys is actually a group of three small villages combined, parts of it dating to the 13th century, but there are lovely old buildings from different times, including chateaux. The main attraction for us is that it has many small champagne houses, where you can taste and buy their wares.

In addition to being given a wonderful welcome by the host...

In addition to being given a wonderful welcome by the host and being made so comfortable - Saint-Julien-les-Villas is a residential area of Troyes a few minutes drive from the centre (or a 30 minute stroll) and, so it is a good place to stay if you want peace and quiet. Troyes itself is fascinating and historic. We didn't have enough time to visit all the museums this time and definitely hope to return.

This was just a one night stopover on our way back to Calais but the accommodation and facilities were superb and greatly exceeded our expectations. The Champagne provided on arrival and at breakfast was also most enjoyable so we purchased more for home consumption.

Pleasant village conveniently located at the northern foothills of the Montaigne de Reims in Champagne. Easy drive to the city of Reims, to the local train station in nearby Rilly and easy drive across the Montaigne de Reims to the city of Epernay to the south.

A very pleasant city, full of people.

A very pleasant city, full of people. In the evening, there are many different restaurants with good food and places to have a drink. The city was quite lively at night. On Saturday, there’s a great market in the city where you can buy almost anything. I also recommend visiting the cathedral.

Lots of historical buildings, there’s a walking tour that’s well signed. A blend of old and modern. Small enough to walk in a day, there is a free bus that you can get on to take you round. Plenty of choices of places to eat & drink.
