A true gem! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the most perfect hosts – warm, attentive, and genuinely charming. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were not only friendly but had a wonderful sense of humor that made every interaction a joy. Our room felt like something out of a fairytale – a true princess’s chamber – beautifully authentic in style yet equipped with everything for modern comfort. The atmosphere was so relaxed and unpretentious, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The location is peaceful and calm, making it the ideal place to unwind and recharge. Every detail felt thoughtful, and every moment was a pleasure. We left with happy hearts and will definitely return. Highly recommended for anyone in need of a little magic and a lot of relaxation!

Staff were fabulous in each department: reception, bar, waitressing. In particular the lovely young lady with the red hair (sorry forgotten her name) and the sommelier. Cocktail, restaurant meal and the breakfast were absolutely perfect, fresh produce, creative and generous. The garden walks were a bonus.

I liked the location across from station and near Limoges Centre. The lounge and dining room were spacious, my room and bath/shower were good size and the bed was very comfortable. The entire hotel was spotless and the staff were approachable and met my every need. I especially liked having a passage into the neighbouring restaurante with delicious local French cuisine.

    Love this hotel, my aunt and I stayed here for 2 nights and my brother joined us for the second night. The hotel accommodated him at very short notice. My aunt and I ate in the restaurant on the Saturday evening and the meal was superb. It is the second time I have eaten in the resurant as visit the area due to family living close by. The restaurant is closed after breakfast on Sundays. We found the nearest place to eat in the evening then was in Saint Junien a 20 minutes drive drive away. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Parking outside was free.

    Beautiful chateau in its own grounds. Owned and run by the occupier who wants you to make yourself at home during your stay. Very pleasant and sociable. Love the building, warm, comfortable, and spacious. We arrived late in the evening, instantly felt at home, and had a very relaxing night. The host made time to chat with us in the morning, very welcoming, and we enjoyed sharing stories over coffee in the morning. This is an authentic property we enjoyed its unique qualities. The hosts obviously work hard to maintain it.

    Excellent hotel & staff. We had a one night stay here, on our way down to Spain. We arrived quite late & just after the kitchen closed but they very kindly gave us a table. Good food. Great rooms. Very clean. Very friendly and efficient staff. On-site parking. Very good value for money. And they accept dogs! We would definitely recommend and will book again next time we are breaking a journey through France.

    Easy and cheap to park in the town centre.

    Easy and cheap to park in the town centre. Our host gave advice. Porcelain museum definitely worth a visit. Also the station buildings. We enjoyed walking around the medieval streets. We walked to the places of interest. We recommend Le Versailles brasserie. It is open on a Sunday and food is superb.

    I'm not sure as to why Brits expect tea / coffee facilities in rooms in France, in city style Hotels yes, but not in the country .I have had my Harrods travel kettle for 40 years, it's always in the suitcase with tea bags and long life milk, cups, spoon, and adapter, sorted!

    A small but charming town on the route between Limoges and Clermont Ferrand. Lots of old architecture and a decent range of small shops and restaurants. Away from the main road, it is very quiet and peaceful. It has an interesting-looking church but we didn’t have time to visit it.

    Everything was great.

    Everything was great. I recommend this hotel to everyone who likes quiet place, good and clean room, nice staff, nice view on the lake. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Food is very testy. Next time I will stay longer.

    Small village / town, lovely church to visit, the pub, Le Pont de la Pierre, by the river is a must visit as such a lovely setting and well worth the walk. The Restaurant Le Palais nice setting but we got overcharged and will not be frequenting this place on our future visits. The restaurant Le Cheval Blanc offered a set menu and it was fastfood with à la carte prices. Le Central Bar was good for drinks. Gets busy with visitors, ex-pats and local residents. Bellac itself is pretty quiet and a car is a must, lot of interesting beautiful places to visit in the nearby surroundings.

    Much better than online photos and description. Very friendly and helpful hosts. We had ground floor apartment. Take a kettle and milk and coffee if you enjoy making your own tea/coffee in the morning but they happily supply hot water anyway. Fridge and microwave. Easy access to pool through sliding door, plus seperate private access. Large shower room. Can at breakfast outside or in room. Pay hosts for breakfast and local tax in Euros. Card not accepted. Easy access by car to Limoges - approx 10 mins away. Aldi about 5 mibs away and a 24hr fuel station.

    We stayed Limoges specifically as a location to visit the Matyrs village at Oradour-sur-Glane. A moving place to visit I'd recommend to anyone with an interest in history and the brutality and hatred of the Nazi regime.
