Our experience at the Loisium Wellness Hotel is definitely one to remember. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff. The welcome was amazing! We immediately felt at ease, and that was enhanced when someone (Margeaux) brought our bags to the room - a welcome luxury after a long trip. The room was stylish and comfortable, with a beautiful view that perfectly matched the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel. We felt right at home and couldn't wait to start enjoying everything the hotel had to offer. Dinner was truly super delicious! Each course was a culinary treat, with fresh ingredients and perfect presentation. It was a true feast for the senses! And of course, the requisite champagne made the experience even more special. The staff made sure our glasses were never empty, which added an extra sparkle to the evening! The facilities of the wellness hotel were also impressive. All in all, our stay at the Loisium Wellness Hotel was a perfect getaway. We will never forget the professional service, the delicious dinner and the luxurious experience. We have stayed here several time throughout the past 10 years and it is an excellent hotel in this remote area of France. The restaurant is perfect for breakfast, which is enough to keep you going all day, and dinner, which has a menu with variety and local dishes. The location is great for relaxing and/or seeing the sights of the Meuse/Argonne area. Many WW1 battlefields are in the area and the American Cemetery isn't far. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the WIFI is also good. We will continue to stay here when we visit the Argonne.

    Because we had a car we used Reims as a base and alternated...

    Because we had a car we used Reims as a base and alternated between trips into the surrounding area and days sightseeing in Reims. If we hadn't been doing that, then 2 full days in Reims would probably be enough. Although some museums are closed on certain days so it is worth making sure your days suit your itinerary for the major sites. The museum of Surrender was closed which was disappointing.

    An extraordinary town overflowing with mediaeval buildings so very picturesque. Many bars and restaurants. A fabulous Musee d'Art Moderne, unexpectedly good! Cite of Stained Glass, housed in a beautiful building was also very enjoyable. All in close proximity to the amazing cathedral.

    Easy to get to Epernay by train from Gare de L'Est in Paris. Good choice of champagne houses to walk to, without need for a car, but you need to book your visits. Helpful tourist board. Le Sardaignes restaurant, good choice of food.

    Pleasant interesting town at which we had not previously stayed. The city centre has a calm atmosphere of its own. We did a tour of the Joseph Perrier Champagne house which was impressive. Vincent was a friendly and informative host.

    This city is charming, cheerful, and full of personality. The cafes, the grocery stores, the art expositions, the river, the churches, the children... I could live here. Charleville-Mezieres is like something out of a movie.

    Lovely walled town.

    Lovely walled town. There are plenty of little shops, bakeries, a supermarket, bars and restaurants. It’s great to walk around the ramparts which enclose the city. Everyone was very friendly. There is a great little market on Saturday selling local produce. Langres cheese is delicious.

    After a long drive from Calais, I was looking forward to...

    After a long drive from Calais, I was looking forward to having a good rest and a pleasant stay. I found the hotel quite easily – it’s quite close to the main routes on the outskirts of Sedan. The rooms (for my small group) had been allocated, which helped. Unfortunately, all the rooms were a bit on the small side. The twin bedded room I was in had little room to move around and contained a table that sat in the gap between the beds so I could not get through. Moving it to the foot of the bed meant there was no room to move around anywhere. As I was sharing with my Son, it was clear it wasn’t going to work, so I asked to move rooms and did get moved to a triple room which gave us a bit more space, but not much. The beds are quite small too and my tall Son spent two uncomfortable nights. Additionally, the tiny shower room (no room to turn around in the shower and a toilet with no elbow room) had a problem with the drains...it smelled quite unpleasant. It’s a low-budget hotel that needs to spruce itself up. We went for a walk to see a bit of Sedan – the centre is about 20-30 minutes walk and ok for a night out. There is a Chinese restaurant and a bar about 5-8 minutes walk from the hotel, so it wasn’t too far out.

    Only a fleeting visit , love it because it is perfect for me en route to Italy in my car. Previous visits to St. Dizier were always good but never long enough to appreciate the town fully. Pleasant surroundings and ameneties.

    Chaumont is charming.

    Chaumont is charming. About 25 minutes drive to visit the Charles De Gaulle Memorial in Colombey Les Deux Eglise. I highly recommend a trip to the village to enjoy the memorial and local champagne house. Chaumont has friendly locals and delicious food.
