- From $160.24 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very Good - What previous guests thought, 850 reviewsThe indoor spa was amazing, the kids loved the pools, and I loved the saunas. We stayed in one of the upgraded rooms on the first floor, and it had a full-size door you can open to a sort of balcony, which was amazing in the morning to smell the fresh air. The woman at the front desk was very helpful and kind enough to show me a great place to park when we went downtown. They even had free video gaming, like FIFA, for 30 minutes.Guest review byJonathanUnited States
- From $214.81 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 2,139 reviewsFantastic hotel at the city center. I traveled for work and stayed for 2 nights. I requested a room from upper floors of the hotel, and I got the room from the 6th floor (the top floor). The room was very clean, very quiet and the bed and pillows extremely comfortable. The breakfast was great with a large selection of hot and cold options. I could not ask more from a hotel.Guest review byElinaFinland

We found the city rather underwhelming from a tourist’s perspective. The overall architecture is quite bland—most buildings lack character, with only a few exceptions that stand out. The city center restaurants were overpriced and offered mediocre quality, which didn’t match expectations. During our stay, extensive construction works made driving and navigation frustrating. While Tampere may offer a comfortable lifestyle for residents, it doesn’t present much for short-term visitors. There’s a noticeable lack of engaging attractions or vibrant urban atmosphere. That said, the museums were the highlight of our trip. The Moomin Museum was charming and well-curated, and the Museum Centre Vapriikki impressed us with its diverse exhibitions—from games and geology to radio history. If you’re passing through, these cultural spots are definitely worth your time.Guest review byPeterRussia - 10

Delightful city, lots of nature and forests. Beautiful architecture. Recommend Maki-Matin Perhepuisto park for families with children, such a well-kept and well-appointed play park! Laajavuori resort beautiful nature and many things to do for family with schoolchildren.Guest review byJohannaFinland - 8.0

The town has interesting old buildings, and the seaside is open with parks all around. There are some good restaurants in the Rewell shopping mall. With buses it is easy to get to places slightly out of town. There are playgrounds in the middle of the city for kids and the main library has books in various languages for them to sit and read for awhile. We liked Edvin's Path, which you can get to on bus #15. However, if you want to see the Kvarken archipelago, wait until mid-June to visit Vaasa, otherwise there will be no boat tours.Guest review byFamilyPlanetTourUnited States - 10

Pori is a lovely city, excellent parking facilities, well laid out center square with eating facilities. The historic buildings are very easy to walk to, all close to each other so good to get around them all. We spent time in Pori center on a Saturday, which was very quiet, not many people around and most of the shops closed, even the Tourist Center was closed on both Saturdays and Sundays, which was not very helpful for us, we really wanted maps etc.Guest review byMarjorieNew Zealand - 6.0

A good hub for train travel with the town in easy walking distance of the station with a number of good hotels and a number of restaurants . A pleasant enough town with shops but not a lot to see for tourists.Guest review bymikeUnited Kingdom - 10
Rauma is an amazing for looking back in history.
Rauma is an amazing for looking back in history. The old Town area is just stunning. There are amazing little cozy cafes like Vanha Rauman KaffeBar, Sali and Prassen that make absolutely delicious pastries and food. Visiting the trio of Old Town museum is also a must (Taidemuseo, Marela and Vanha Raatihuone/art museum, Marela and old Town hall) and buying a trio ticket is only 8€.Guest review byMariaTheGreatEstonia - 10
I have been here many times.
I have been here many times. The city is small, picturesque one may say. Not many things to do but efficient for those who live there. It is small, safe and welcoming, what else could one ask for. They are very loyal to local industries therefore food quality is unique for Finnish standards, if you know what I mean, they pay attention to beauty other difference from other "Finnish speaking" cities. The cookies, the bread well, just visit, it is not a long walk but you can take it several times a day and you will always find some little tiny thing that is nice.Guest review byOrellanaSpain - 10

Tampere is a lovely city hotel was walking distance from train station and central to buses, trams and shopping. Hotel was clean and tidy but could do with an update in decor. Brighten/Lighten up the entry and restaurant found it a but dark and tired looking. Room was comfortable and a view to the Koski but could also do with freshening up but otherwise hotel was in good location and staff very kind and helpful. Enjoyed TampereGuest review byAnonymous - 10
Young, buzzy city - feels like a real discovery.
Young, buzzy city - feels like a real discovery. Alvar Aalto Museum is good if you are interested in design with lots of his buildings around too and the lake is a lovely walk/ run. Some nearby attractions too, so you need a car to make the most of this area. There’s some building work in the city centre as of autumn 2025 so it will probably be even better from summer 2026.Guest review byNickUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Good: Good shopping opportunities, especially at Kivihaka.
Good: Good shopping opportunities, especially at Kivihaka. I estimate the Swedish-speaking percentage of the residents at 75%, probably the highest in Finland by some margin. 24/7 kiosk at Shell Pitkäkatu. Generally nice-looking city. Tropiclandia was nice for a summer day. Less impressive: Getting to/from the ferry pier is chaotic (especially when the ferrytaxi driver didn't speak Swedish nor English). It was not easy to find any of the city's restaurants. Personal tip: I'd favour trying to figure out how to get from downtown to Kivihaka by bus next time, due to the overly snaking pavement paths between the two.Guest review byImreNorway
