- From $112.03 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,565 reviewsWe had a beautiful spacious room with a sitting area, lobby and bathroom. Our son had a very decent sized regular room. Each room had a safe and a fridge, and was refreshed daily with a big bottle of water and toiletries.Everything was well thought out. The location was fabulous - our room overlooked a formal garden by the city walls. The food outstanding - I would recommend the half board plan. There were several sitting rooms and it was a treat to have hot chocolate, tea and cake in front of a big open fireplace.Guest review byElizabethCanada
- From $123.70 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 2,510 reviewsExtremely charming castle. The rooms have a castle-like feel, which is what I was looking for. I don’t want to enter a castle and have my room be like the Hilton. The castle is just amazing, as is the breakfast and dinner, abundant. A rustic feel, but so confortable and charming. And the different halls in the castle are decorated with the most amazing old furnishings and decorations. Many medieval-like places to hang out.Guest review byJasonUnited States
- From $246.02 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,684 reviewsMore than beautiful hotel which is an old tower, amazing rooms with all the best facilities. The most beautiful swimming pool - gothic style! Great restaurant and bar where you can get all the meals, and a very cute store with their products. Free parking and right net to main roads. Ideally for a 1-night stay on the road and also to spend few days enjoying the hotel!Guest review byLaraPortugal
- From $121.85 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 2,864 reviewsEverything from the elevated view of the city afforded to all rooms regardless of what floor you’re on, the architecture of the building, the breakfast, all brilliant! On approach the hotel lacks a little kerb appeal, once inside and viewed from every other part, it doesn’t disappoint!Guest review byLeeUnited Kingdom

Yes, it looks a little weird... but don't let that stop you from staying here. The rooms are huge, the jacuzzi is wonderful, the bed is super comfy and the staff (although invisible) is super helpful. Great value as well. I look forward to returning.Guest review byLeMieux-RuibalUnited States

Leon is a tad touristy but still retains some of Europes most beautiful Archtecture not least of which is the Cathedral of course - built with a population supposedly around 5000 leaves one in awe at what was built … and where the money came from . The modern side will entertain the shopaholics ( you know who you are !) but the cultural bit can be done in a few days with ease . Restaurants cater for all .Guest review byAnonymous - 2.0
Disgusting place. Rude person on the desk. Parking?
Disgusting place. Rude person on the desk. Parking? Forget it. A garage shared by the entire old building with spaces too small for any modern car. The front desk person has to walk ahead of you and point out the space you must park in - disgusting. That is my only way to describe this hotel from hell.Guest review byCatherinePortugal - 10.0
It's a beautiful city with a huge history.
It's a beautiful city with a huge history. It is so relaxing and interesting. We weren't looking for nightlife - but there were so many local bars that were much more fun. We were 5 minutes' walk from Plaza Mayor and less than 10 minutes from the house where Miguel de Cervantes (Don Quixote author) lived and also the surprisingly interesting Museums of Sculptures (you need to stick with it to see the whole thing: ra-ra-ra promotion is not a strong point for Valladolideros(?) - e.g. they could make a fortune impulse-selling Don Quixote dual-language books but there were none to be found.) It's also a great base for touring the Ribera del Duero.Guest review byBrendanIreland - 10.0
The Cathedral & city walls are magnificent.
The Cathedral & city walls are magnificent. There are plenty of 3 *** & 4 **** hotels & restaurants. There are also lots of cheaper places to eat & drink. Try the Posada de la Fruta, Plaza Pedro Davila for lovely ambience & service.Guest review bySIMONUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Segovia is beautiful with a number of historic sites and places to stop and rejuvenate. I highly recommend the cafe in front of the Alcazar which has the most wonderful terrace at the back with spectacular views.Guest review byOonagh - 10.0

Ponferrada seems a really nice city. We didn’t get time to visit the castle or cathedral but our friend did and she said both are really great and well worth a visit. Loads of restaurants and places to eat.Guest review bySEANUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The hotel was in a good location although not easy to find and there wasn’t free parking on the site. Not far from the restaurants and near the river with a nice walk. We only stayed overnight enroute on our journey. We have stayed at nh hotels before and find them very comfortable and clean.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I wanted to visit Soria because of the nearby archeological site of Numancia. I had read El Cerco de Numancia by Cervantes as a student and remembered the site. The Museo Numantino in Soria has fascinating artifacts from the archeological site and other locations in the area. Wonderful Roman glass, pottery, jewelry and sculptures. In addition, Soria is a lovely medieval small city well-worth a visit away from more crowded tourist locations such as Barcelona and San Sebastian...Guest review byMichelleUnited States - 10.0

If you are a fan of Gaudi's architecture , a lover of history, or a Camino Pilgrim, then this town is a must for a couple of days visit. The old city is easy to navigate on foot. The chocolate museum is also worthwhile if your time allows. If we were traveling by car then I think we should have liked to stay an additional night and explore some of the surrounding area. As it was we were slowly making our way by bus from Santiago de Compostella to fly out of Madrid after having walked the Portuguese Camino.Guest review byTraceyAustralia
