Great view overlooking Habu temple, a genuine highlight on the west bank neglected by the big travel companies. Great night sky. Even dinner served in house on demand. Highly recommended, a must-do experience. The place is magical, better than other neighborhoods in Luxor, with stunning natural scenery and a quiet, clean neighborhood. The owner is truly wonderful; he's very kind and helpful, and arranged two trips for us with a tour guide specializing in antiquities. He can also arrange hot air balloon rides and other activities. The food there was some of the best we had in Egypt, and of very high quality. They even helped us at the last minute with transportation to the airport. I am very grateful for this experience and highly recommend it to everyone; you will not be disappointed.

Ali and his family are amazing! always very kind and attentive to our needs. It is a small hotel looking to the Valley of Queens in Luxor, away from the noise of the city and the rush of the tourists. The food is prepared from the organic garden they have in the property and the quantity is very generous and a fair price. Ali helped me to find a driver to take us to the main attractions in Luxor and was always flexible with our schedule. For sure the best place to stay in Luxor!

Everything about Malkata House was exceptional -- the setting, the beautiful architecture and artwork, our large and luxurious room, and the amazing Egyptian food prepared by Chef Hassan. The staff were attentive and gracious, and the house manager, Ahmed, arranged for an exceptional driver and guide, Mohamed Omar, to assist us throughout our stay. Mohamed Omar spoke excellent English, knew the Luxor area intimately, and went above and beyond to be helpful to us in every possible way. By the end of our week we considered him to be our good friend.
