Awesome hotel experience. Felt like sleeping in a spaceship. Everythings was sparklingly clean. The automated checkout went smoothly. The bathroom smelt heavenly and well equipped. I really liked to Rituals branded soap, shampoo and body lotion. The sauna was great. The lobby was very cozy. Amazing value for the money. The hub was very comfortable and the temperature was perfect. Highly recommended.

I loved being able to use the facilities in the room especially because the kitchen was complete even with utensils, microwave, fridge, glasses, plates, and bowls. I also appreciated the TV that was very modern, the room was very spacious, and everything was so clean. I also loved that there are three supermarkets within walking distance. There was also a washing machine and dryer available per floor, which we can use for free! Super helpful

The owners are amazing and welcoming, great to socialize when eating dinner here. The dinner was amazing too, it looked simple yet was complex and after eating, felt like a mother's healthy home cooked dinner. The accommodation was very good and has this homey feel to it.

Such a charming and intimate place! With quirky, personal touches sprinkled throughout. We felt very much at home at Hornbækhus, and enjoyed exploring each of the nooks and crannies it had to offer. We partook in the community dinner, which was fun and delicious, and breakfast was nice as well (keep in mind, it's not a buffet - you order from a menu). Our room felt very cozy, however the real charm was coming out of the room and reading a book or enjoying a cocktail in the "living room" and going on long walks along the beach close by.

The staff on reception were very helpful and polite. Even for a difficult traveler like me. Only kidding. I asked after the first night if I could move to a bigger room because my first night room was like a prison cell, eg. tiny bed and small shower. So they moved me into another room, which was a good size with a double bed and walk-in shower. My tour of Copenhagen was just the hotel and airport as it was a layover, so I bought food from reception, which was rolls or sandwiches of different kinds. And some Danish beer.

The place is very cozy. The staff were extremely friendly and tried to make anything happen for us. We had different room types and all of them were freshly renovated. Cool sauna with sea view with the possibility to jump into the sea afterwards. Also the food was incredible, the had a limited menu as it was opening weekend so we tried literally the whole menu and everything was delicious.

Helsingor is an adorable town an hour north of Copenhagen. I don't know that I'd have ever thought to go there but my son decided to get married there. I traveled by train from Copenhagen to do a 3 day hike. Koge was such a pleasant surprise - gorgeous architecture, good little hotel close to the market square, lots of amenities (shops/restaurants). Took a bus from train station (get your bus and train tickets in a 7 Eleven) to furthest point to hike to Stevens Klimt. Had to return there that night to connect onto another train to Mons Island - amazing hiking spot! Koge is not a touristy town so really nice to see the Danes doing their market shopping on a saturday morning too. Great restaurants too.

Very clean, newly renovated, quiet. The room well appointed. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. The hotel is in a small shopping area with a supermarket, small restaurants and every convenience very close. It’s a bit out of the city centre, so maybe not ideal if you are sightseeing in Copenhagen, but it’s on a bus line. My only small gripe- the pillows were small and we could have used two each and the winter bedcovers were too warm for June. Otherwise a great hotel where we will definitely stay again.

Typical northern city. No different from Bruges.

Typical northern city. No different from Bruges. Expensive parking, no way to pay for it unless you download a local app (which asks you to disclose half your life while all you want is 15min of parking space)... Prohibited parking spots are unclear to the non danish. Better be careful where you leave your car. People are kind of cold, the usual, same as Belgium, Luxembourg, Holland... Hotels are expensive, and not always up to standards. Waiters are easily annoyed by questions or if you take time to choose. Had a couple of warmer encounters outside town, and spotted a couple of streets in the city center (near Magasins du Nord) that seemed appealing, with designer shops and restaurants. Will give it another chance some day when I have more time to visit Tivoli and all, but first contact was meh. Had more fun outside of Copehagen... Great countryside.
