- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 422 reviewsTHIS IS A CRUISE NOT A HOTEL BOAT!!! I wish they would be more clear about his, took me a little while to confirm. This is a wonderful cruise on the Amazon (aka Solimões - this is what Amazon is called in this part of Brazil) and Rio Negro rivers. Friday to Monday is Amazon river, Monday to Friday is Rio Negro cruise, you can book either or both. They have several activities every day - boat trips, jungle walks, etc. Tons of food available from about 6am to 11p. And they now have satellite internet service through Starlink. It's kinda pricey but it's a wonderful experience with attentive crew, great food, and amazing views. All rooms have balconies. The shower is very spacious (and big enough for 2 people). Several power outlets in the room.Guest review byYourMan4TravelUnited States
- From $1,118.61 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 67 reviewsThis was a very memorable place. The location on the Juma river was breathtaking with the entire lodge built above the tree line. The bungalows are rustic but very comfortable. The buffet styled restaurant served the best we had eaten in Brazil, with lots of choice in both international and local dishes. Staff is very accommodating, friendly and work hard to ensure the guests are enjoying themselves. We were very busy going on wonderful daily excursions with an extremely knowledgeable guide. We spent 5 days here and our guide was Nelson who spoke English was amazing. We went on jungle hikes, canoed, fished for piranhas, saw tons of birds, caimans, and other animals.Guest review byConnieCanada

They accommodated my changing travel plans, phoned car service and taxis for me and stored my luggage while I was in Amazonia. Super patient with my limited Portuguese. I stayed extra days because the staff was so kind and friendly.Guest review byMichelle LCanada

The street where the hotel is located is also very popular so i felt fairly safe walking around it. Manaus is an important starting point near the Amazon Rainforest, there is an incredible visual phenomenon called "encontro das aguas", indigenous tribes, Teatro Amazonas, waterfalls and cave in Presidente Figueiredo. Also you have to try the different types of fish typical of the region.Guest review byFranUnited States - 10.0
I liked its location, it's really close to the port.
I liked its location, it's really close to the port. The front desk representative was so nice to draw me a map and explained me the main places to go, obrigada! He had the patient to listen to me, even my Portuguese is my 5th language.... so I'm not so fluently. TksGuest review bymariaCanada - 10.0
For me it was the perfect combination of nature and safety.
For me it was the perfect combination of nature and safety. It is not the right place for someone looking for a deep jungle adventure. The hotel offered controlled conditions at all times which was perfect for me. Beautiful flooded forests, lakes, river. I saw monkeys, sloths, alligators, iguanas, red squirrels and lots of beautiful birds. The local community are traditional river people.Guest review byJaneBrazil - 10.0

Manaus is an amazing city and the perfect gateway to the Amazon experience! From jungle tours to river cruises, it offers a unique mix of nature and culture. The city itself is vibrant, full of history, and surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. A must-visit for any adventurer!Guest review byBESSATunisia - 6.0
Manaus is ugly and charmless.
Manaus is ugly and charmless. The real attraction of Amazonas state is the Amazon Rain Forest itself, so either skip Manaus altogether or 3 days is plenty of time to get the feel of the place. Even the food culture is relatively bland and unexceptional. If you do decide to stay in the city, go to Presidente Figuereido to see the waterfalls. But most people will be using Manaus as a launching pad for exploring the Amazon.Guest review byAntoineUnited States
