CanadaExcellent elegant hotel with beautiful gardens, very friendly stuff. Room was spacious with patio. Very tranquil atmosphere. Beach are well kept with comfy launch chairs. Waters are amazing. Hotel is located within short stroll along the beach to Holetown mall- A must visit. Try le Paris caffe- the best pastries there. Mall has live music, nice collection of shops, cafes, restaurants, icecream shop and grocery store.

I cannot express how brilliant the apartment suited our needs which was like a home from home, and is about 5-7 minute walk to Paynes Beach in St. James. Bob was a brilliant host and was good enough to provide us guide sheet with a list of useful restaurants, taxis, supermarkets etc. Joan and her son came to the apartment to provide a weekly clean, and we also met the wonderful Dorothy in the neighbouring apartment. If anyone is thinking of staying in the area, I would highly recommend Morris Apartments. Bob - thank you again for looking after us, you are wonderful. The property is well maintained and has a lovely, private oasis feeling. We loved hearing various birds and seeing monkeys pass by daily. The location was great-4 min walk to the beach, a short walk to some good restaurants and a short bus/taxi ride to several more. The host, Rochelle, and her family made us feel very much at home. The rooms are very well appointed and the beach is beautiful. Absolutely no complaints. I would be on a plane there now if I could be. One morning I arrived at breakfast to find an invitation from the hotel for a cocktail hour that evening, on the house. Truly generous hosts. Saint James is a lovely area, with beautiful beaches and gardens -- very relaxing and quiet, though plenty to do if you wish. We were in the Sunset Crest neighbourhood of Holetown and could walk to the beach and beach club, and to a whole range of restaurants and shops as well as a great grocery store. If you want to go further afield, there are frequent busses. The Surfside Restaurant is a great place for lunch, and Paul Owens at the Beach House and the Tides are two of Barbados' best restaurants!Guest review byKiloranCanada - 10.0

St. James is one of the 12 Parishes on the island of Barbados. It if the home of the oldest Church on the island (which I attended a beautiful church service on Sunday morning).
